Occassionally I get this message:

Adobe Flash Player Security

The following application on your computer or network

about:blank

is trying to communicate with this internet-enabled location -

ds.serving-sys.com

To let communicate with internet, click settings

I always X out.

It brings up the following questions:

What is about:blank?

Is it bad?

If it is bad, how do I get rid of it? (remember you are communicating with a computer twit, so keep it simple)

Thanks

In the last two weeks (or so) there have been two very important security updates just for Adobe Acrobat! Also, it is a good idea to turn off the JavaScript option in the Preferences! To check if your adobe product needs updating start any adobe product then go to help>Check for Updates!

Always be careful when something from out of the blue wants to install something on your computer! If in doubt go to the manufactures website to check for updates!

A good program that can keep you informed about updates to your computer is...http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/ (http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/). If you download and install the free product for the home user it will tell you when there is an update.

Secunia is great for security-related updates. For general updates, try http://www.updatestar.com .
