Readers who have been kind enough to say how much they appreciate the "Simon" series may like to know that this latest episode is now in preparation. However the greater part is still in my head, and since this is my busy time of year, my clients come first.
A leading part in this story is taken by Jan Raxworthy, pasty-faced, unattractive and Cornish, but a 1st-class computer-wiz.

I got served one of those game hens for dinner once; I agree, right strange looking little things

(small as your fist, but they're NEW!!* )
Glad to hear confirmation another story is on its way; especially sweet as I/we thought you had 'hung up the typewriter'!
I must say, nice to have the reference manual.
Looking forward to the new piece!
* tip of the 'reputation' button for the 1st one who knows what movie I mean... :p (and can correct me if my quote is not exact!)

Well, it turned out to be "Professor" rather than "Scientist" when I'd got it written, but then I'm prone to these aberrations.
This is by way of a disclaimer. In my more recent stories I've used Sussex place names more and more freely. Anyone who knows the county may recognise some of the landmarks. In the last page or two of "Ricky and the Mad Professor" there is a rugger (Rugby Union) match against "Arthingworth College, near Haywards Heath". Lastly I've borrowed a few real names from my past.
Before I'm descended upon by the population of Sussex, the citizens of Brighton & Hove, and the alumni of Ardingly School, may I please hasten to say that any similarity with real places, or real people living or dead, is wholly coincidental.

I'm only halfway through, and it's good - as usual!
Our crew of eunuchs is up to 'no good' again!
One point - if this is the regular school term following "Ricky Visits America," then Simon (our usual hero) is 18 now.
His birthday is in July.
