How long does it take for a 150 Mg shot of Depo Provera to start making a noticeable difference in libido?

How long does it take for 50 Mg a day of Cyproterone (generic Androcur) to start making a noticeable difference in libido?

Can they both be taken at the same time?

I have ordered both from www.inhousepharmacy.com and they should arrive in the next day or two.

Thank you

I'm not sure that you should take both drugs at the same time. Others are more qualified than me on that one.

I have only tried Cyproterone Acetate. I felt it working immediately, in that I could feel the change in my body's chemical balance within an hour of taking the first dose. It gave me a slightly metallic taste in the mouth and my body felt slightly shaky as though I was in shock. The side effects of libido loss, etc. don't happen immediately, but within day or two I lost some of my desire to rush around doing things. My erections became less frequent after a week or so, and I started experiencing bothersome hot flushes in the night. I was losing sleep and beginning to feel very down so I stopped taking the pills. It took many weeks for my body to recover from the effects of Cyproterone Acetate. It's a powerful drug.

They work by different mechanisms and PROBABLY would be ok to take together but I would first find out how either one alone works for you. It may be better to just use more of one or the other starting out instead of using both. I used two 150 mg provera injections when I started then one every 3 weeks. It takes 2-3 weeks to see first results.

I have taken both at the same time when I first started over three years ago. You should start to notice a difference after the first two to three weeks. That is when it started for me. I stayed on both 50mg of Androcur a day and a shot of depo provera 150mg every 3 weeks until my T level was below 100 then I dropped the DP. My T has been around 60 ever since and I love the effects.

After a few months without testosterone, body hair should slowly and gradually become somewhat thinner. If you still have too much hair after a year, you might want to consider (laser) epilation.

Regarding the penis, I would also expect it to become softer and maybe shrivel somewhat. The skin and tissue don't really go away, though.

Very low doses of Estrogen (1/10th of the normal female dose) would help to keep your bones healthy and your skin soft. Don't take more than that, though, unless you want female breasts.

On second thought, I must say that while I think low estrogen doses would be a valid possibility in the long term, in your case I would rather suggest to stop hormones altogether for now and see how your body and your emotions react.

In the long term, you could also go with a low dose of testosterone. There is some science that shows that for bone health, 1/10 of the normal dose should be sufficient. It should not matter very much whether you choose estrogen or testosterone for that.
