Bilateral Orchiectomy Today

Hello Everyone,
It's been a long time since I posted anything anywhere around these forums. Some of you may remember me, some may not. I've slowed down a lot with my skydiving over the years.
The last few years, my T levels hit rock bottom from the pain meds I take for severe headaches. Considering those meds give me a life to live, the doctors refused to touch those, instead opting to do T replacement therapy instead.
I showed allergic reactions to T patches and the gel, and then a skin test was horribly allergic to testosterone injection, so I spent six months at an allergist getting de-sensitized to the injection. After finally getting on full dose for six months, I started getting testicular pain.
I went through two nerve blocks that ended up wearing off, and fired two urologists (the first dismissed the pain as "insignificant"--yeah, let me kick you in the balls and see how insignificant you think it is!!!). After eighteen months of fighting with the pain, I was at the point I could either have a nerve stimulator put inside me or have the testicles removed.
The nerve stimulator had its set of pros and cons. Considering I'm 38, done with a family and not wanting to deal with this constantly from now on (other than taking meds, which I already do), the orchie was the right option.
Stanford did the simple bilateral orchie this morning. I'm up and around, though taking it easy, and packing ice on regularly. I can feel the incision, but it sure doesn't feel like I got kicked in the balls anymore.
Thank goodness for that help.
