When each one of us was in heaven planning to come down you planned your life. The planning process includes such things as interests, desires, who your family will be, what lessons you will learn while in life. So this is just part of your adventure in this life.
Just remember there is no right or wrong in this life as long as you love God and keep him in your life.

Hi Francis,
I to felt like i was a girl all my life started when i was 5 - 6 years old, and recently the feeling became so strong i had to do something so 8 months ago i started HRT doing it myself from online pharmacies, i felt so good i'm seeing a therapist now and getting a referal to an Endo soon, all i know once my first therapy session was finished it seemed like the weight of the world was off my shoulders for the first time in my life. There are others here that I'm sure will post soon like Erica Ann and Danya. PM me if you want to talk.
Paula.

Hi Francis,
I'm glad you wrote. Life can be very difficult when you are unable to be yourself. Sounds like are now ready to be who you were always meant to be, a woman.
It takes a lot of courage to do what you are doing right now. You are talking about what you really need to be happy.
Do you dress as yourself, a woman, at home? Do you have a chance to go out in public as a woman? How do you feel about that?
Unfortunately, you cannot have SRS without being on estrogen for at least year and getting approval from two qualified therapists. The good news is that you can be happy without surgery, even if it doesn't seem that way now.
Many trans women never have SRS. Sometimes they cannot afford it. Others decide, for different reasons, that they don't want SRS. The most important thing is that you live your life as who you really are. That is what can bring you a lot of happiness.
I have been living my life full-time as me, a woman, for 8 months. I have never been so happy. SRS would be a very good thing for me, but even if I never have surgery I know that I will be just as happy as when I finally started living my life as a woman, for everyone to see, 8 months ago.
Eight months ago, I transitioned before starting estrogen and I wasn't positive a doctor would prescribe it. I told a few friends that whether I ever got estrogen or not, I would still be happy because I was living as myself.
Please keep writing. Let us know what you are doing and feeling. I would be happy to help in any way I can.
Hugs,
Danya

Hi Paula,
Thanks for writing to share your story. I felt just like you when I first saw a therapist to talk, at long last, about who I am. What a liberating experience!
It is true that many people start hormones on their own. I did that myself with a drug to suppress my testosterone. It was nearly four months until I finally saw a doctor who knew what to do for me.
I am glad you will be seeing an endocrinologist, Paula. Hormones are very powerful and this doctor will help you minimize your risks while getting the benefits you want.
I've been on estrogen for 7 1/2 months. When I saw my doctor last week, she increased my dose.
I hope you continue to share your story. I'm glad to help in any way I can.
Hugs,
Danya
