Statistics: Does anyone have them?
Does anyone have a source for discovering, that for the USA and Canada, for example, how many men lose at least one testicle in year and how -- accident, cancer and other diseases, voluntary loss for therapeutic reasons, loss in an erotic encounter, loss by intentional hostile aggression, etc?

Re: Statistics: Does anyone have them?
Yoli here,
I say "Not likely" re your question.
I doubt there's any ONE agency or authority that would record losses due to such a variety of causes.
For example; The loss of a testicle(s) during an assault would most likely be recorded by whatever law enforcement agency has jurisdiction over the area wherein the assault was committed. As well, the local clinic or hospital whereat the victim was treated would, of course, have records.
Neither of the above-mentioned entities would be likely to have knowledge, much less a record, of a "private" castration that was performed on a willing person IF there were no complications that required professional medical attention which would, almost assuredly, be brought to the attention of the local police.
A castration performed for legitimate medical reasons (Cancer, perhaps,) would NOT be publicized nor reported to the cops so THAT castration, unilateral or bilateral, would remain only in medical archives and might not be known outside medical circles.
So far as I know, there is no "Central Clearing House" regarding castrations performed in general. Only those that result from medical necessity, acts of violence, or are "botched" are likely to be recorded and there's no national or international hub to which these are ALL reported.
Sorry 'bout that.

Re: Statistics: Does anyone have them?
The only statistic I am aware of is that Medicare in the US, pays for, on average, 80,000 castrations per year (i.e., for prostate cancer, etc). That does not include any reports of use of chemical castration for the same purpose. A bit of searching might provide some numbers, viz, testicular cancer. Extrapolate from any reported incidence types of injuries in such reports, and one might make some good guesses.

Re: Statistics: Does anyone have them?
Thank you Yoli and Kristoff for your replies.
I suspect there might be some repository for information about the loss of testicles which occur in a regular medical facility such as for testicular cancer, etc.
Although castration is recognized as a lawful, if not a recommended, therapy for extreme prostrate enlargement in places in Europe, I don't think it is allowed yet in the USA. Hence, there probably isn't information about those that occur in spite of this restriction.
I asked the question about statistics for many reasons, one of which is, frankly, curiosity.
However, another motive is to find out if there are ways to recommend this excellent forum to those that might need it, but would not ordinarily find it. Do some or a majority of those who lose a testicle or both testicles to cancer or some other medical problem get a recommendation from their medical service providers to visit this forum?
The other, I think not small group, that would profit greatly from this forum are those that might think themselves abnormal or have guilt feelings for thinking about castration for any reason or fantasizing about castration play/castration.
It's been years since I have read any scientific articles on this, but I seem to remember that at some time during their lives many men think about/fantasize about castration -- getting, giving, or both. Other studies, I think, showed that many women are fascinated by this subject and it is part of their sexual fantasies. Open discussion of this subject in general society is often suppressed/discouraged by the stigma attached to it, especially by certain religious beliefs.
I believe that reality about anything ought not be denied, but discussed openly without censure or stigma. Perhaps if the reality of the interest in the general population in castration could be faced openly, this forum might usefully grow to millions of members.
Please do not take the above in any way as a criticism of this forum. It is the opposite.
