Knowing lifestyle changes happen, at the beginning of this New Year, for those of us who miss the great stories told by Pueros, Nathan, and several other authors, stories of slavery life, I'd ask them if so moved, to bless this place with some of their best of the best commentary. You guys leave a big void. Nobody does it like you have done it. It'd be wonderful to have you back a couple times this year. See if you can't work us in.

There are some great stories in the archieve. The quality of the historical, multi part stories is better than most books I have read, and the attention to detail is superb. I cannot begin to imagine the hours of work it would take to prepare a story of this magnitude. I saw only a few notes of thanks on the boards so I guess the authors get a little dispirited. I am as guilty as anyone here for not saying `thank you` often enough to authors. I hope we can see some more work by the kings of the archieve fiction and I also hope that they will at least get the simple `thank you` that they so richly deserve from all who read and enjoy their work for free. I for one will try in future not to be such a silent admirer.

Tjstill is quite right: there are great short-stories in the Eunuch Archive, for which the authors indeed richly deserve our thanks. Let them be aware that there are, out there, people who, silently, hugely enjoy their stories. I, for my part, am especially fascinated by the Byzantium-stories and almost weekly I hope that a new Byzantium-story will be published (which, alas, occurs only very seldom).
Recently I was happily surprised by (the as yet unfinished) Life of a Slave by Missing2. This beginning actually reminded me of the Byzantium-stories. I do hope, of course, that the recently enslaved boy who is the main character in this story will not, predictably, be gelded immediately in the next part, by order of the first middle-aged woman who inspects him at the slave-market. This story could develop into a story as nuanced, as shaded, as the very best eunuch-stories, in which the boy experiences all to him new humiliations of slavery either before he is eventually cut or after he is unmanned.

I too have enjoyed Nathans stories and the Byzantium series, and yes they probably have not had the positive feed back they deserve. It was interesting anonymous said my recent story reminded him of the Byzantium series i hadnt intended for it to be so, they say emulation is the greatest form of flattery though. I have just posted part 2 of that story, I hope you are not disappointed with the storyline, and no he doesnt get cut by the first woman who comes along, we will have to see how in finishes in the 3rd chapter. And I agree it makes a difference when you get positive feed back for your story, i know it made my day when tjstill posted his comments re a Life of a slave. Thanks tjstil

I wish to apologise to John Sheraton & the others for missing their original messages in this thread.
I also wish to say sorry to those who like my stories for my recent lack of productivity as far as this board is concerned, especially when judged against earlier output.
As John suggested, though, lifestyles change & I can no longer devote as much time as I once could to such writing. I am therefore giving priority to producing factually based tales so that the lives of certain important historical eunuchs can be recorded for posterity, believing that they deserve such attention above any fiction. However, I hope one day to complete my other stuff.
