EDIT: correct title of the book is "Let the Right One In"
Thanks transward !!!
------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a spoiler post. If it's posted in Eunuch.com you know the surprise ending.
"Let Me In" a Swedish film and book (John Ajvide Lindqvist).
The 12 yr old girl (Eli) is a 200+ yr old vampire. The surprise near the end is that she is a enunch.
"She" prefers to live as a girl vampire named Eli and not the real boy name Elias.
I've only read the book so I don't know if the film has the same ending.
USA is remaking it, I doubt a 14 yr old boy kissing and in love w/ a eunuch M2F TG will make it to US of A.
Have a great '09

One reviewer put it on his years 10 best list --
http://www.tallahassee.com/article/2009 ... 20306/1005
4.) "Let the Right One In": This poignant, poetic coming-of-age vampire movie stuck with me more than anything else I saw in '08. Set in a somber apartment complex in a part of Sweden where it's always dark and snowing, a lonely 12-year-old boy who is perpetually bullied befriends the new girl next door. She gives him self-confidence. He gives her loyalty, even after he discovers she's a vampire — and that she might not even be a female. The movie's final showdown at a public pool was one of the year's most shocking and cool moments. It played like Bergman with bite and is the year's anti-"Twilight." "Let the Right One In" had a too-brief, two-week run at the Miracle 5 this fall. Find it when it comes out on DVD on March 10 and avoid the upcoming Hollywood remake by the huckster who made the cruddy "Cloverfield."

The original novel, Let the Right One In, is available in English translation from Amazon at
http://www.amazon.com/Let-Right-John-Aj ... 601&sr=8-1
The paperback edition is only $10.85.
Information about the film is available (in English) on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb) under the films Swedish title, Låt den rätte komma in
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/
There are a great many highly positive reviews of the film and a great deal of background information about it on the IMDb site. There are some stills and the movie trailer linked from the site. Kåre Hedebrant, who plays Oskar, was 12 at the time of the filming. Lina Leandersson, who plays Eli, was 11. Both were amateurs who got their roles pitch-perfect.
The DVD is advertised on Amazon is at
http://www.amazon.com/Let-Right-One-Lin ... 491&sr=8-2
where it is available for pre-ordering. It will not be released until March 10. There is also a Blu-Ray version coming.

Yes.
Castration is S/M or perverted, depending on your POV.
After I read the book, I just kept giggling at how extreme the author's fantasy must be, S/M, CD, castration, homosexuality, pedophiles, rape, gruesome blood letting & killing...
On top of that, it's a social commentary on suburban life, alcoholics, the police, school life, single motherS...
