i have been on androcur at 300 mg a day and i do not feel castrated at all,have no problem getting a erction and there is plenty of sperm,the only side effect i have had is nipple sensitivity,i now know that androcur will not castrate me,what can i do now apart from the surgical route

300 mg a day is an awfully high dose. You need to have your liver functions checked regularly.

Do a search on this board about Androcur and Tamoxifen combination. I am on it and very happy with the results.

it takes some time, as much as a few weeks, and 300mg is way to much. you should cut that down big time.

300mg is dangerous. A little patience is called for. It has taken a great number of years for you to be sexually mature and therefore you ought to follow a better dosage by cutting back to 100mg.

We live in a world today where people expect instant results from everything, patience is a virtue well rewarded. Try adjusting your mental outlook first by not concentrating on sex and if you find your mind wondering erotically, then cut the thought at once. When it is working you will know, but your dosage for this timespan is irresponsible.

I think I'd use a maximum of 150mg/day max. I think the literature out there on Androcur shows that the people that had liver problems were geriatric and were taking around 800mg/day. The liver function tests are cheap and come standard with any liped profile (cholesterol screening).

I'd definately look at adding Tamoxafin if you are not getting the results you are looking for as well as cutting the dosage of Cyproterone Acetate (CA). If you are having any changes in nipples or breasts, that means your T has dropped and E is dominant or just E has risen significantly (most likely the first option). You may still be getting sex drive from the increased E...

Time to read the booklet/paper that came with the androcur. It works on your body. Turns off your gonads (testicles) from making more testosterone. It is not a drug that has effects that happen right away. It is not a reverse of Viagra. Your body is filled with testosterone that has been already made. That will be there for some time.

If you think castration will stop all of your erections your are very wrong. They can and will still happen. May not be as strong and happen as often but will still be possible.

Most may start to see effects starting around the end of the first week with androcur. The normal and average starting dose is 100mg a day or less. You do not want to take more of the drug then needed. I have been working with people for a great many years on androcur. For most 100mg is what they end up using the entire length. After being on 100mg they my experiment trying a little higher or lower dose to see if any change in effects. If no change is noted going from 100 to 150 they back off to 100. Some have gone to lesser dose as low as 50mg a day and found full effect achieved. More drug is not better. You can only stop your balls working. If they stop at 100mg and you take 300mg you are putting your body at unnecessary health risks.

You may want to consider seeing a doctor and have your hormones checked out. You may have something going on that need some medical attention.

I would not say a freak. That would not be something I would say when someone is serious and is asking for help.

It is possible you may need that much. It is far more then what most others have reported to need. You could have a medical reason that your testicles are over producing testosterone. A hormone problem in your body. That could be of concern and needs to be address. You can have your doctor run some test to be on the safe side. You will know if your male hormones are shut down. You will also know the condition of your liver. It is better to be safe then sorry when playing with your body.

bobbie,on your advice i have gone down to 200mg a day,however when i was masterbating today to check the sperm output the sperm was minimal and very watery,is this a sign that the drug is working and my testosterone levels are low,seems odd the day i lower the dose less sperm is produced.

my strength seems fine and i feel as before very well and healthy,i may be a tad calmer as well or this could be my imagination.I mean everybody says when your test crashes you feel awful at the beginning but at this moment i feel fine,also it could mean that my testosterone levls havce not dropped
