It's not that I want to be removed from the EA Forum, I would miss it. I've been around a long time and enjoyed the stories.

But I understand Blaise's emotions. I posted what was a heartfelt post to history being made and in locking the thread, two of you just crapped all over me. That is why you closed down the Political thread, isn't it? Rude, mean and downright nasty behavior?

You did it the day before the election just to punish the EA members posting there. That might satisfy you emotionally, but it is exactly the behavior you claim to object to.

Lately I too have felt like leaving, but I have decided to stay and I hope you will too. I may be posting less while the political form is closed but I am still here and enjoy reading your posts.

Blaise, after thinking this over this evening, I am joining you. There is no need for anyone to do anything special for me as far as removing me, but I think I'm done posting as well. Being told to "shut the fuck up" by Paolo in this thread, http://eunuch.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=14579, is lights out for me. I also felt closing Dave's thread was wrong, and the comments made to him were unnecessarily nasty.

I think it's silly that we can't have spirited, vigorous political debates in the Political Discussions area in the days and weeks leading up to the national election. No one has ever been forced to participate, and of course no one is forcing me to stay either, so I won't let the door hit me on the way out. I understand this isn't a democracy (not to put too political a point on it), and I don't run the show. I don't have any hard feelings toward anyone, and I hope no one else does toward me.

I think everyone I've been buddies with here the last four or five years or so knows how to reach me, and I hope you will if you have time. I hope to still visit the chatroom. I will likely keep reading here to keep up with my friends, but I won't be posting. I have enjoyed shooting the breeze with you guys and I wish every single one of you the best.
