we need some help from Bboy, Paolo, IEunich, etc. on people that come into the chat room then harass other users using bad language, etc. Now, bad language comes in two parts, those that cuss for a reaction to get everybody laughing and language that is just uncalled for. We had a person in the chat Sunday evening that was cussing out another user. When we told him to cool it, the bashing started, This is not what we come here for. If we wanted that we could go to teeneboppers.com Ignore users works a little but we really need a monitor to handle this problem. I looked at the membership roster and of corse he has not even registered member, no supprize there. If one of the monitors of this site would like this persons nic, you will need to email me. For others that were there please add your comments.
I have been reading the board and stories for a few years and finally got the nurve to finally get into the chat, I now feel more at home there then anyother part of this site. I have learn a lot from others and tryed to help new folks just comming in for the first time. I guess that is what pisses me off the most. I did not reconize all the people in the chat and some during this bashing session did not stay long, if it was there first time I will lay odds on there next visit.
OK I guess I have ranted long enough, but if anybody cares to check, I think this is my longest post. That really pissed me off.
If I had the power he would never be back.
River,
OH and remember have fun and play safe.

We'll get on remedying this - to some extent. Expect to hear from one of us.

Riverwind,
I would have to agree with you, it one thing to use bad language to get a laugh and to describe a scenario, but to use that and start harassing another Regular member of the site, and then take offense to someone politely asking them to stop or take the chat else where is uncalled for.
Paolo,
I'm glad to hear that the issue is being looked into.

Hi All! I would recomend that we make our chat room to members only. I do not visit much any more but when I do ,I'm constantly pulled to the side with people wanting to know who I am, what I'm into, am I female ,this and that. Most members here know about me and who these other people are, I have no idea. Who are these pests? Most all the members conduct themselves in a nice way and respect each other, we have fun. Just a thought. Hugs, Leona

Here might be a suggestion... (But I've no idea how much work it would involve to implement .. probably a lot!)
Is there any way to link in the chatboards with the post boards?
I mean, have a single profile that you can use to log into both? All iit would require, would be a simple method of exporting the username/password combination from the archives here (but I've no idea of the internal workings, or how easy that would be!)
The way peoples reputation is monitored here is so wonderful, and I can't help feel the chatrooms would benefit from adopting a similar method. This way, if someone does become unsavoury (on a permanent basis!) in either chatrooms or message-boards, we can help exclude them from the community entirely?
This would help solve the problems of
Stalkers
Critics who come here to 'muse at freaks'
People who are abusive on a regular basis
All at once!
Just a thought, because 9 out of 10 people here are the most lovely people anyone could hope to meet. It's dealing with that 1 in 10 fairly!
