Just came back from a trip to Japan, but didn't find anything like this....

Interesting art, however.

There's plenty of homoerotic Japanese art, and some of that focuses on sadomasochism and castration. Another outstanding artist of this sort is Gengoroh Tagame -

Take a look in the Gallery, especially "Heavy and Deep" in the Deep Zone. You'll be simultaneously thrilled and appalled. For those who remember Greasetank with nostalgia.

I might be reading more into it that there really is but it occurred to me while viewing that both artists have a propensity for drawing caucasians in dire straits. :)

Some of those drawings seem to be sketches of Japanese torture of American war prisoners. I've heard of attrocities by both sides in many different wars. This is the first time I've encountered any examples other than a few fuzzy photographs of corpses.

The victims are the ones to whom the artist is attracted. If there are caucasian victims, that says something about the sexual tastes of the artist. The greater the pain inflicted, the greater the passion.

Glad you're enjoying!
