I like the FOX network show "Prison Break".

Well, I missed the 2-hour premiere AND the 3rd episode this past Monday. I figured I might get it as a replay video on FOX.com or see if there was a website for the show.

I didn't have a 'Link' in Favorites, like a few other networks I like,...so...I did what most do, 'Searched' >Prison Break-TV< ...a lot more results than I

expected. Didn't see any links to FOX (And yes, by then I HAD figured "Why didn't I just AddressBar 'FOX.com',...Duh, I'm dumb). 💡😵‍💫

Catch all the latest "Prison Break"!,....click,...

Up came Hulu.com (http://www.hulu.com/?from=signup). Boy was I surprised. Nice-looking Website w/ Vid center-screen,...linking scrolling marque-style video choices of the most popular shows underneath it. You can expand full-screen and back w/out it missing a beat (guessing connection speed depends).

I looked through their Privacy policies and terms-of-service. All the usual, etc.

No subscriptions, but you do need to sign up. There are no fees (at this time). No cookies either. Usually when a site is free, sumpin's-up. I don't allow persistent cookies, and session cookies are killed on exit. They appear to be a California Co, though I don't know what or why. Ran scan this A.M. and no Trojans or spy-ware showed up. Guess they sell legitimate adds to Co's like Hi-Fi Buys. Nothing annoying like pop-ups or interrupt-us-adds (I have a counter).

Hi-Fi Buys sponsored the 3 programs I watched, in 31 second clips, 1 every 10 minutes. Better than TV! I watched all 3 'missed' "Prison Break" episodes in High-Def streaming video.

There are a whole bunch of TV shows & Movies available, but I haven't had time to really research the site. I have a I-Inc TW191D Flat screen monitor, and it looked great. I also have DSL broadband, so that might make a difference for some. No idea if/how dial-up might play.

It is a cool site, isn't it?

How can they do that?

I wonder how long it will be before they start asking for $ with use?

If it's strictly a commercial site, like television (for advertisers), wow!

Sure beats the clock on when and where, and missed favorites.

I think it can work with commercials. The New York Times charged me but then changed to running on advertising revenue. I cannot afford The Wall Street Journal but their readers usually earn a lot of money.

I bookmarked the site, but that link locks up on me. Now, I just put it in my search engine and play whatever I think I would enjoy. I have enjoyed watching the episodes of 30Rock.

I have been checking out Hulu for a few days now. You are rite. It is an awesome website. I have watched some old classic TV shows and movies.

As for how they pay for their own bandwidth, I think I know. They do run some commercials. Also, when you go to the movies listed alphabetically, older movies play free but some of the newer releases must be paid for. This pay-as-you-play covers the expenses with a small portion going to the studio that created the film.

Thank you for telling us about Hulu. It has become a favorite of mine.

I didn't think of that, but I zipped-through most of the Policies after seeing "Free(!)" 😄. Guess that's why they invite viewing for free.

As the 'Age of I.T.' advances, we will probably see a lot more of this; and less and less of the 'drive-to' or 'gathering-place-type' establishments.

It might even kill-off the video store! :)
