Have anybody noticed that maybe half of the stories here are relating to kids?

I am not accusing people who have fantasies about kids, I am open-minded, people can have any fantasies they like as long as they ARE just fantasies, but I am really surprised the percentage which is a bit unusual to me.

If you think that's an interesting point, there used to be ANCGS (now gone), ASSTR, Nifty, and a whole raft of other sites that have some stuff that "I" won't allow here. I'm sure you can come up with the proper search terms to use, and you'll see just what's out there.

It is our belief that the stories here serve a therapeutic purpose, in that if someone is reading or writing them and sitting home alone in his basement doing it, then no one out there in Reality is in danger from him/her. Writing these things out, or reading them, and knowing that someone else has the same things in his/her head that you do, is also great for getting rid of recurring thoughts and nightmares about such.

In fact, this is how my own story, "For Your Own Good" came to be.

I wasn't in the basement , but it WAS therapeutic, and it DID get to a point that I didn't need it anymore (unfinished story).

Knowing that there is a place with/for others like me...is a god-send.

To echo Paolo’s response, many of the stories of all genres on the Archive are therapeutic for the authors. Many are also therapeutic for their readers.

The first survey of Archive readers, and the articles that have resulted from it, pointed out that voluntary eunuchs and eunuch wannabes were molested as little boys at a rate ten to fifteen times that of boys in the society in general. I have spoken with a number of the authors of stories, those with a minor theme and those with other themes, and many of them have described the traumas and nightmares that resulted in their writing the stories. The stories are not factual, but are fictionalized accounts of the nightmares resulting from the traumas that they experienced.

I have, on occasion, suggested to people I know, both on and off the Eunuch Archive, that story writing is sometimes an effective way to deal with trauma. Psychiatrists, after all, are merely experts in drawing out the stories of one’s past and exposing them to the light of day.

One of the charges often leveled at stories like those on the Archive, is that they incite individuals to criminal acts. I have yet to hear that charge made against murder mysteries. Should they be banned because they might incite someone to commit murder?

There has been academic research on the relationship between pornography and sex crimes. The most cited such study is “Pornography, Rape and Sex Crimes in Japan” by Milton Diamond and Ayako Uchiyama (International Journal of Law and Psychiatry 22(1): 1-22. 1999). Diamond is a professor in the school of medicine at the University of Hawaii and is director of the Pacific Center for Sex and Society. Uchiyama is with the Juvenile Crime Study Section of the National Research Institute of Police Science in Japan. Their article has stimulated similar research in countries around the world. All have reached the same conclusion – the more readily available pornography becomes, the lower the rate of actual sex crimes.

The simplest answer to the original question might be: Because there are many authors who like to write these stories!

It seems that most people who have castration fantasies started having them around puberty. So, even if all authors here are adults (or at least so I think), it's quite common for them to think back into their childhood, and either write down stories they fantasized about when they were young, or plot stories to be performed through a time machine, with the main character being themselves, either openly or not!

And another reason is that in history the castration of minors was very common, probably more common than that of adults. Castrati singers inevitably had to be castrated in childhood, while many or most harem eunuchs and castrated slaves were "done" at an early age too.

Also, the effects of castration are much more pronounced if done before puberty, so it simply makes better story material!

My fantasies about penectomy and castration were fanatasies from my childhood. That is when I had them. They were fundamental to my early masturbation life.
