This may be a shade off topic but I need help.

I came across a website at http://www.landroverbaptist.org and couldn’t quite make it out. Is it a satirical site and if so what is it satirising? Or is it really meant to be taken seriously?

There are people here a lot more worldly than I am. Please would someone take a look at this site and report back.

I make no claims whatsoever about worldliness, but I've seen the http://www.landoverbaptist.com site before (landroverbaptist.com would be even funnier, but that's sort of been done already, at http://www.gluck.net/jesus), and I thought it was pretty hilarious. In my estimation, the sort of Christian fundamentalists who would blame terrorist attacks on homosexuals, feminists, and single mothers (this is a slight exaggeration) deserve all the satirical mockery they can get.

Landover Baptist is an offshoot site of www.bettybowers.com, which is absolutly hilarious. It is a satire, although you'd be amazed at how many people don't realize it.

Actually, it is a bit more interesting than that ... the site was taken over by hackers and redirected to the satire site you saw.

There has been a court injunction and the site has been taken down for the time being.

...well, I just been to the site and it's not down.

Maybe you should try it again.
