Decision Time

Hi everyone,

I'm very excited to be posting to this forum for the first time. I have a lot of questions to ask and hope that some experienced people will take the time to share their ideas.

I'm a 43 year old man who is currently considering trying chemical castration for the third time. How can I be trying for the THIRD time and still have questions you ask. Well, the first two times I stopped short because I experienced horrible fatigue. I like to stay in shape and I also work a lot, so the fatigue really affected my lifestyle. I therefore very reluctantly stopped my treatment.

The first time I just took spironolactone, and the second time I took both spironolactone and finasteride. Man, that combo worked quickly. In ten days, I couldn't get aroused at all, but the fatigue came more quickly as well. Both times I took conservatively low dosages. The second time, I also applied one dosage of estrogen gel per day.

Has anyone else experienced really bad fatigue during chemical treatment or after a surgical castration? If so, how long did it last? Do any of you still work out or have heavy work schedules? How do you deal with the fatigue?

Thanks for your comments,

JJ

I've got dead testicles and therefor a shortage of testosterone. Fatigue is a definite problem. I tired very easily now despite exercising regularly.
