How many here keep...

..."Odd" hours?

As most of you are aware, your loving Yoli keeps VERY odd hours. It seems, however, that I'm not adversely affected by it.

I guess I'm like a cat in that I can curl up into an adorable little ball...more like "lump", according to Ash(leigh)...and go "Off the air" for anywhere from five minutes to infinity.

So, I'm curious to know if any of my friends and lovers here are pretty much on the same lack-of-schedule and what effects, negative or otherwise, you experience as a result.

Are there practical reasons why you keep odd hours and varied hours, sleep-wise? Or, do you suffer from a definite sleep disorder?...and what are you doing about it?

For me, it's all about getting to the office in the early AM, gettin' it done, and fleeing to the outer 'burbs...The Land of Malls, eateries, drinkeries, Bass Pro Shop, etc., a lake, or home. This way, I sail into town ahead of the AM rush and avoid the PM madness as well.

Of course, the other common reason for my Early Bird behavior is my involvement in fishing (year-round) and hunting (in season, or anytime if someone asks me to thin out the wild hogs...That's "woman's work", y'know?🙄)

So, those factors pretty much explain my bat-like routine. What is not understood, as least by me, is why I can get up at Oh-God-Thirty, drive 50 miles to a lake, launch a boat, fish from pre-dawn to late afternoon, then come home, shower, and function socially or practically for a few more hours.

Will someone offer their view of "Why?", especially if you share my little peculiarity?

I wonder how much longer I can keep on keepin' on in this manner, now that I'm barely past age 30, (I said "BARELY"!) and what the cumulative negative effects might be. If you have first-hand knowledge re that please share...here, not via PM, unless there's some dark secret involved;).

Today's sched: Office by 5:30AM; Out by 8:30AM; The Cracker Barrel by 9AM; Home by 11:00AM and doin' some research; Lunch w/friends at 1PM; Assault on mall by 2:30PM; Home; maybe a visit here; into pool, then about two hours of INTENSE work. That'll bring me to around 7PM, a cocktail or three, and a meal of leftovers from last night's grillin' 'n chillin'. Some TeeVee OR Classical Music, then a few pages of "Giants In The Earth", maybe another visit here, then off to Dreamland.

Well, that's the plan, anyway...who knows?😄

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Yo....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Terribly sorry, but I am not in any way, shape, or form a morning person. Rather quite the opposite. Left to myself, my schedule tends to start at noon, and end around 4am (possibly 5, sometimes 6.) I'm quite happy being semi-nocturnal, actually.

I got up at 4:30 from the age of 14 to 61. Weekends included. Could fish or hunt or golf at Edwards AFB or the cape. I think there ate no adverse effects to the lifestyle except I was allowed to get older.

The wife and I now sleep when we want sometimes up at 7 am and sometimes 10:30. The only time I am awake at 4:30 am is if there is a space walk on the tube (live). I srill watch ISS every time it passes over in the evening hours. 30ish a good age enjoy and never forget the 1 or three drinks. I know lots of old people none smoke, but all hoist a few each day...

BP🙏

You'll be able to keep up your habits for longer than you can plan forward. Then you will start easing off naturally.

In retirement, I change my schedule frequently. I think that I am probably on a 25 hour day or something off a 24 hour cycle. When I work, I like getting up around four or five in the morning or going to bed around that time. I have always enjoyed napping when I come from work. I suspect that other people experience something like this.

I watch the ISS! And I watch space walks if I am someplace where I can access cable. I can watch them for a long time. 🙏
