What kind of employment, eunuch?

I know this may not be the best way to ask, so please hear me out! Having been post castration now for a year & a half the sense of a mid life crisis has come over me. Work is hard. Maybe it is simply the profession of mine.

Finding enjoyment in life has become increasingly hard for me while subjecting myself to a unhealthy work environment.

I guess what the thought here is, what things do eunuchs do for work? To make money & pay the bills! Have we come far from the past professions of our ancestors?

I should have mentioned for starters that i work for a privately owned transportation system. throughout my time with the company i have experienced harassment and also been outed by my employer to fellow co-workers. in a way i feel the company forced me to transition in order to conform with set "standards".

I think a good number of our members are on disability for various reasons. Backs that did not last a lifetime, legs that did not last a lifetime. Arms that did not last a lifetime. Honestly, I think your best avenue for employment is computer related. Anything to do to computers; be it computer repair, website design, programming, etc.. It is an ever changing environment and one that will continue to grow as the years move on. Next to that, is the health services industry. Seems to be always a shortage of nurses and other health professionals. Again, with technology moving forward, you constantly need further training.

But to directly answer your question. With no T in your body; you are going to loose strength. So jobs like being a lumber jack or a farmer; well they are out of the question.

As far as tough emplyers go. I've seen that too. My employer repeated told me to my face that I was a fudge packer. People just do not realize how much they can hurt another. Little did he realize that I was a Eunuch, so the opportunity for fudge packing was pretty remote.

The eunuch community is certainly involved in a wide variety of occupations, although various computer-related ones are probably the largest category. Human service professions (from nursing to social welfare to teaching) are probably second in frequency. After that, it seems to scatter across everything from military officer (generals don’t need testosterone, enlisted men do), to accountant, to journalist, to auto mechanic, to farmer, to government official, to…. almost anything that’s out there.

The list above is from ones whom I know.

gal suit for discrimination in the work place.

I agree that this is clear workplace discrimination, but the legal status would depend on the laws of the particular state.

My guess is that Hompty has a strong case in his state. OBB is now retired, so it's too late for what I know would have been a valid case in his state. There's always the question of how much pain one is willing to endure to file the suit, however. The employer can make it very painful....

Gee Z you deserve a medal.

I would have been out of that place of employment within 5 min, if my employer outed me without my permission!

That's where I currently reside -- though only temporarily so. :)

I think nursing or being a radiologist might be interesting. :D

Finding a profession in the field of photography somewhere would be great! as I am currently enamored with that as a hobby at the moment.

I want to study anthropology. hmmm.. rambling, yes.. 🙄

when i asked a friend what he thought might be a good thing for me to do for work i was shocked to hear his reply. "zya, your a bit finicky."

i really do have a hard time making up my mind though... i would love to do makeup! the only catch is, i want to do makeup for deceased people. i wonder if there is a school for that? i have always loved makeup and its powers over peoples perception of ones face. however i would not want the stress of having to please a live person. i think to give a dead person one last chance to look there best would be a great honor!

Working in the medical community is not only rewarding it is in fact very supportive. I accept those that I care for, respect myself and never force my belief on the patients or staff I am working with.

Being a eunuch might even help your prospects. If a guy came to be and said he was castrated wanting to work with direct patient contact, I'd think great I won't have to worry about patient mistreatment.

Just rememeber that just cuz your a eunuch you still call the shots!
