George Carlin was more than a comedian.
Sleep well, sir, sleep well...
Good night George...

Re: Good night George...
I just read that he has passed away, at age 71. The world is a lesser place without him.
Many times, I have laughed so much at his jokes... "The Seven Words"... "and 'tits,' tits shouldn't even be on the list!" I really loved his views on God.

I loved the comparison of football and basefall. I also liked his ideas on God. Refreshing. Good show, George.

Truly a man that loved words and how to make them sound bad. I always got a smile and laugh at his shows.

Re: Good night George...
I must say that although he became famous because of the 7 word list, he was really passionate about pointing out the idiocy that lurks around every corner of everyday life.
One of the sad things about his death is that the media has completely missed the point of his work... He was not interested in being obscene, he wanted to illustrate that with a little thought and a little effort anyone could live a better life. I am terribly disappointed that most of the media reports are focusing on his work from 1972 rather than his entire body of work, which could easily be called genius and underrated.
Please go watch some Youtube of him. He was amazing.
Tp call Geoge Carlin and Carrot Top comedians in the same breath is a huge disservice to George and his political and social commentaries!

He made everyone laugh. More importantly he made many of us think. His voice and thoughts will be missed. There will never be another like George.

If you haven't heard his routines just Google "Quotes of George Carlin" and look through the results. He had a brilliantly clear view of the world that ranks with Mark Twain and Will Rogers. Funny, yes, but you had to think. Only 71, too soon, too soon!

Re: Good night George...
God sent George Carlin down to get humans to laugh at ourselves, but after a time called him home so he could enjoy him in person again.
