greetings.
i would love to get some input on the pharmaceutical options for "chemical castration".
can anyone lend their experience with...
- Androcur
- Triptorelin
- Depo-provera
i'm leaning towards the androcur b/c i don't think i can muster up the balls to give myself injections. ouch.
also, any input on online pharmacies so i can get this stuff into the states... would be great!
thanks so much,
- davey

D-P works for me. One shot & you have no sex drive for 3 months. As far as permanent castration goes, that I don't know.

My big recommendation is to try an SSRI type drug, like Celexa, before you try an anti-androgen like those you've listed.
The modern treatment for hypersexuality and paraphilia is now to start with SSRIs first. If you are interested in more info in how effective they are you should do a web search on "SSRI and Paraphilia" or "SSRI and libido".
Of course this is only effective if you seek castration for the purpose of controlling libido. If you are transsexual, or want to do it for aesthetic reasons, then hormones are better for you.
To get an SSRI drug, all you need is to see a psychiatrist and have a consultation regarding your hypersexuality. Go prepared with some printouts regarding the usefulness of SSRIs, and I am sure they will be willing to try a prescription.

Androcur worked wonders for me. I took it for three months. Eventually I took 100mg every day. This is considered a high dose. Anyway, I got real scared when my balls got down to the size of jelly beans. I completely quit taking the meds about six weeks ago. Today, the testicles are about half their original size and not nearly as hard. My sex drive is way down. I no longer constantly think about sex. In order to become excited I have to engage women in sexual discussion. Much better than before.
All the semen stained underwear were thrown out. I don't feel like I have to continue the meds or have some defect. I still have my balls and that is great to. I suggest androcur for the lack of feminizing affects and as a much less radical coarse than surgery.

good luck,

Has anyone had any similar experiences as plezherus using Depo-Provera or oral methylprogesterone instead?

Great news awhile ago. Just returned from my internist. We have exhausted all SSRI's to no avail. She has just made an appointment for me on April 3, 10am. with a urologist, with the recommindation for chemical castration. So, now I have a problem, which drug. I need help.
Which drug should I use. Depo Lupron
Depo Provera
Perhaps an estrogen..... premarin. Etc.
Don't know. Would like to hear from others, what they have taken and the effects and side effects etc. Any information in the next couple of weeks would be GREATLY appreciated.
Being in western NY, and the USofA, can't get Androcur, not approved by the FDA.
Any other drugs, or combination thereof, would be very interested hearing about.
Again, would appreciate your help. Hoping this will end my torment with an over, over, over active libido.
Thanks All Angel

Depo Lupron
Depo Provera
When I was in Dr. Kimmel's waiting room, before having my scrotum removed, I read all the pamphlets he had out. One was for Depo Lupron, which was considered to be as good as castration as far as removal of testosterone for fighting prostate cancer goes. The shots are every 4 months.

I ran on D-P for nearly 2 years. The injections were no problem as the needles are very thin and the injection part of the fun. The hot flashes were grim and didnt get much better for about 18 months. The real problem in my case was weight gain, which I could not control. On the positive side it wsa wonderful to know I was a eunoch , it was a great relief. I have been off DP for a year and seem to have reverted to my old self if a little heavier. I shal give it a little longer then try some other treatment.
