It strikes me that there are a lot of folk who've had one thing done, then gone on to another, another, and so on. Who's found that once they've had one thing they've gone on to do more? Typically, there are a quite a few guys who've been castrated who say they've given serious thought to becoming a nullo.

I'm just wondering if body modifications are addictive. Any thoughts and experiences to share?

Among those who are tattooed, it is definitely said that tattoos are addictive. I can definitely attest that they are, at least in some form. I started with something rather small, and currently have a full back and sleeves piece that I've been thinking about and planning for years that I would love to get done.

However, that isn't to say that mods themselves are addictive. Depending upon how you look at it, I suppose anything can be, including breathing. I don't think it is the mods themselves that people are are addicted to, however. It is the idea of modifying one's body, making it fit better the image you have of yourself that can be addictive. Mods are merely an end to that goal.

More, even if you do consider them addictive, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. I see nothing wrong with adorning one's body with art. You decorate your room, and yet you may only live there a short time. You live within your body for your entire life, so why not decorate that instead? Much like decorating your room, you may find that a decorated body is much more comfortable to live in.

When I started getting serious about things I wasn't interested at all in a penectomy. Now I am starting to think about it quite a lot.

I think that you raise a very good question. I can say from somebody who has not yet been castrated, but am looking to do it fairly soon, that at this point thats all I am looking to do. But I do wonder that once I have been castrated, if I won't want to go on to do more.

This is assuming that the urges did not predate the modification in question. Certainly, there IS a certain air of liberation to the first modification, but you woud not do it if the URGE did not pre-date the modification.

Furthermore, FANTASY and REALITY are two different things.

But I WILL tell you what IS addictive. POSTING on this board IS addictive...

One cookie would have been fine. Two cookies would have been okay. But three cookies? My God, what greed won't do!

good analogy

I have been castrated and in the three years since my surgery I have to confess that I am very interested in losing my penis now. Of course, I would want the radical penectomy type...lose root and all and have a reroute.
