Not sure what brought it on, but some folks at work were discussing Jerry Springer the other day. This reminded me of a Springer episode I stumbled upon a few years back. I believe it was called "I Did My Own Sex Change". I didn't see the whole episode, but I believe the story was, a guy just decided one evening to get up from the dinner table, went to the bathroom, and sliced off his penis. Oh, and then asked his wife to take him to the ER. Never mind the fact that this would hardly be a sex change, merely a mutilation, so the title was a bit misleading. Still, I found it fairly entertaining. Does anyone else remember this episode? Needless to say, I didn't bring this up at work.

I used to have it on VHS tape; you didn't miss anything. It's all just sensationalism trash TV and not informative at all.

That is the joy of it. To paraphrase a great C & W song, "They say opposites attract, but I don't agree. I like a TV program as trashy as me."

One of our life goals is to go see the Jerry Springer show live -once. Kind of like mooning Amtrack, going to the Testicle Festival, etc. etc. All things to do in life - once. And then make a running joke of it. Like my Mexican colonoscopy.

I don't remember that episode, but it does sound like something that would be on the Jerry Springer show!
