Most of the monarchies in the above list are (or were) by Parliamentary consent.

The Kingdom of Norway was rightly not listed because Norway did not gain independence until 1905.

The oft-forgotten independent Principality of Andorra, however, was unfortunately omitted. Andorra is ruled jointly by the Bishop of Urgel (in Spain) and the President of the French Republic. This makes it a Duarchy, of sorts.

Andorra was not completely independent until the end of the 29th century. It did not have a government of its own. I do not remember the year, maybe some could enlighten me.

Well, it gained complete independence, as you put it, with its own governing council in 1993; but it was effectively an independent entity since 1278.

And presumably the Vatican was a theocracy?

No ... The Vatican City State only goes back to 1929 or so and the concordat between Mussolini and the Church. The last of the Papal States were incorporated into the Kingdom of Italy in 1870, and so there was no Papal territorial power between 1870 and 1929.

(Dimly remembered from 4th form history and stamp collecting)
