Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
I have tried unsuccessfully multiple times to upload a photo for my profile here, but it doesn't show up after I pull up the link and click on submit. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I've uploaded on other sites without any problem but maybe there's something here I'm not understanding. Thanks.

Re: Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
Me too. We kind of have fun thinking of photos for here, but are having problems. I have the next one down to 199X149 and 14.3 KB. It still shows as digital breakup (see profile photo).
Re: Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
It seems that profile photos don't work. I never looked into this, as I don't use one. There also still seems to be a bug in VBulletin with image resizing!
Avatars that don't upload properly should be emailed to:
paolox31 at hot_mail dot com , NOT using the email feature of VBulletin; use your regular email client, whatever that may be, or webmail client. Send me the full scale image, and I'll upload it for you. Use the subject "avatar photo for EA". Pull the "_" out of that address, too. Files can be sent to me in any format: JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG, whatever turns you on. I prefer they be attached, not inline.

Re: Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
Just so folks are aware, we do not permit profile pics, never have - only avatar pics. If you try to load what is labeled as a profile pic in the CP, it will not load. Do it only under Avatars in the CP. Make certain you have the files down sized before attempting to load. Otherwise, take up Paolo's offer above.

Re: Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
I used Visualizer Photo Resize to get the image with the properties listed above. Even tried running it thru PowerPoint, which worked for some reason before but not now. So, I will take up the offer.

Thanks for your suggestions on this. Question, if "we don't allow profile pics and never have" what is the section of the profile enititled photo doing there in the first place????? Without a one sentence explanantion for it??????
Re: Photo/Avatar Upload Problems
It's an option of VBulletin's software, and it isn't turned on here.

I use 73% JPEG quality @ 200x150pixels in Photoshop and I don't seem to ever have any problems.
