Disappearing Testicle Question

Post by GregoryOne (imported) »

Hi - I'm new here, have been reading the Board for sometime now since I have a personal interest and some association with the whole issue of eunuchs.

Many years ago I had to have my left testicle removed - it was undescended and my doc said it should be removed to prevent testicular cancer and it wasn't useful where it was. Frankly, I didn't have much of a problem with losing it since I never really had it in it's proper place anyhow. Since then I have had 23 kids, divorced, and come out as gay. Somewhere in there I had a vasectomy.

Recently I have noticed that my ball sac has gotten smaller and I often can't feel the remaining ball in the sac. It seems to move up into the area on the right side of my penis. Since my penis has always been rather small when flaccid - hard is a totally different matter :-)) I generally where briefs and for the last year panties - they feel and fit much better!

Do any of you know whether there is any danger in this situation - ball up inside me? Frankly I don't mind it being there, I have no pain and I find the smooth look much more appealing these days.

Thanks to all.

I am no expert but you may just have worn out your poor remaining ball producing 23 kids. Wounder how many kids you would have had if you did not have a vasectomy and not been divorced. Wow and all this time being bi or gay. Most interesting if this can be believed.

How many years ago? Usually this done ASAP as soon as it is noticed with the statistical risk of testicular cancer.

Congratulations. I know you meant to say "3" but it's still funny!

A slight fluctuation in testicle size, maybe even noticeable, is nothing to panic over. One is usually larger than the other, and there is quite a bit of fluid exchange going on in there. Large size changes, however, the kind that you notice often and are obvious, is almost a sure sign that something isn't right down there.

Do you see any marked changes in your sexual function, or desire, or ability? Any emotional changes that might coincide with the symptoms of low testosterone, signaling that the testicle isn't putting out the amount that it should?

Were this a complication of vasectomy, I'd say you would have noticed it a long time ago - very near the surgery time in fact.

It's a moot point now, probably, given what you've said. But a higher testicle is warmer, and thus can lead to sterility. It will NOT affect the hormonal output, however. As to why it's suddenly pulling up and in on its own, I have NO idea. As you said before, though, undescended testes are almost ALWAYS lowered and secured, or removed, as soon as the condition is noticed in infancy/early childhood. One of the girls I used to work with had a boy with one undescended one, and it was brought down and secured when he was 3. He was also premature.

Consult your doctor or a urologist over it, however, as testicular cancer can easily spread to other more important areas of the body!

You may be at risk, you may not be. Only a specialist can say for sure - the I'd get a 2nd opinion!

Thanks for the response - the undecended testicle was first brought to my attention in my late 20's - why it was never treated in childhood I have no idea - my parents were dead by that time so I couldn't ask them but my family certainly had the money and we saw Docs all the time.

When they took it they checked for any cancer and it was totally negative so I doubt that's the problem.

Last time I had a physical the T level was in the normal range tho I don't remember the actual number - having a physical soon so I'll ask for the test and see what's up with my T.

I have been taking Propecia to keep my hair for years (it works) so I have been wondering whether it might be a combo or lowering T levels and Propecia.

Any thoughts?

Some guys are able to move their balls up into the groin area at any time. However most find it very unpleasant to do so if they force it. When the balls become smaller they can often pass into the inguinal cannel with ease. [Note the balls start their life in the inguinal and move into the scrotum shortly before birth.] If they creep up in the groin from time to time there should be no damage to ball (s). If you had pain associated then you need to see a doctor. If sever pain you need to get medical attention very fast for you may have testicular torsion with them drawn up. If not treated very fast the ball will die. Nature does draw the balls up close to the body whenever we are in danger for protection of the balls. Hope this helps on your other question.

Mine used to go up in the groin when ever I approached orgasm, when normally they would hang quite low, and were larger than "average". I don't think this is really all that rare, I've seen porn stares who look like they have no balls at all.

I've noticed the same thing but these were ubber buffed out men who I suspected used illegal steroids to get Mr Universe bodies. Which cause testicular shrinkage

23 kids? Are you serious?

Well if there's a danger it would have or should have happened to me. I've always worn my underwear tight and for the past 10 yeas I've worn panties and they are tight in that specific area.

Mine NEVER hang low unless I'm without panties on...and that's not often (enough)
