BIG WET THANK YOU RIVER 💋

Your primitive rain spirit must have tapped in. The best rain of the year last night.

Maybe even an inch. My "rain gauge", hardly taxed this year over flows at 3/4 inch.

It started in the AM hours and went on and off a few times, but never a deluge. Done by morning.

Thanks again. :)

The weather here is like - survive 4 months of winter and get 5-th for free.

I mean it is cold, like in -10 - -15C, and windy. Brrr. It is spring already, where is warmth? I want to open rollerblading season, and not curse the weather.

Sounds like your having the same kind of winter we are, when I was 10 or so years younger then I am now I went rollerblading every week, 10 mile track and loved it, truly one of the better ways to work out.

Last year, there were something like 6,000 record highs broken in March. This year, we're pushing record lows. It's 19F here now, and last year, the high was something like 80F. :(

Just got back to Minneapolis from Las Vegas (average daily high: 80F) last night. Minneapolis had a major snow event on Monday. Since then snow has been melting during the day, running all over, then temps drop to 10-15F at night. Ice everywhere. Had a hard time getting my large truck out of the driveway this AM (it is slightly uphill). Had to let it idle up the driveway. Had to run an errand - otherwise I'm not going anywhere today, including to work, so we'll just let the water run downhill into my garage instead. Oh well, fuck me....

RiverNo snow here, but enough ice... And lots of dust. Ice slowly thaws during the day under the sun, and releases all the dust and salt accumulated over winter. Ugh... In some places, asphalt actually looks white. Too much salt during the winter...

As for rollerblading, I hope that by beginning of April, the weather would be warm enough to try and open the season. Not going to go really long, 10-12km max... Season should be opened gently :-).

Sounds like Minnesota, too. I always wondered if they painted the asphalt black for the summer...

" . . . Gmoser indicted Punxsutawney Phil on one count of misrepresentation of Spring, an unclassified felony, against the peace and dignity of the state of Ohio. "Phil let us down," Gmoser said.

On Feb. 2, Punxsutawney Phil emerged from his burrow and did not see his shadow, predicting an early spring.

In his indictment, the prosecutor stated, "Punxsutawney Phil did purposely, and with prior calculation and design, cause the people to believe that Spring would come early." Gmoser cited a snowstorm and record low temperatures in Butler County as evidence that Phil's was prediction was grossly inaccurate. . . "
