Benadryl does not help me get to sleep but it does keep me sleeping all night when I take it. If I do not take one pill, I will be awake many times in the night.

I could use a favor: I have no phone service and I cannot connect to Verizon to tell them. Could someone call them and ask them to come fix my phone.

PS. I can sometimes get incoming calls but I can't call out.

Today was better panic attack wise. Yesterday I had taken two Benadryl and I think that was too many. Today, I won't take one till bedtime. I did get 4 hours of naps

I have noticed a few changes:

(1) When I'm at the store or restaurant, I get nervous if the room isn't cool enough or I'm terrified of crowds of strangers.

(2) I've lost my appetite for food and have to force myself to eat.

(3) I have less inclination to smoke or drink.

Weird huh?

I am not a clinician but I did work on assessment team for several years and you would do well to talk to your doctors about all this. The medications usually work, but not usually just by themselves. Take care.

I did a line test for you online, and the problem is in your telephone, not the NID or the line. They say they'll have a tech there by the 20th at the latest.

This is where I'd be looking, Mac. See the doc, explain it all. There are things and meds that will help. Panic is often seen with anxiety disorders and depression (in many ways, agoraphobia is a highly self-reinforced combination of both). Depression can also be very self-reinforcing. Breaking out of it usually requires intervention. Please seek it.

As I told you last night on the phone. Your line seems to be fine for we were talking on it. Your old phone may just have died and no longer can call out. Think if Verizon comes to your house and the problem is your phone then they will charge you for a service call. At least that is what the phone company will do around here. If the problem is inside your house it is your problem to fix. They will fix it for a charge. Even to just look at it. A cheep phone can test to see if it is you phone or the phone company that is the problem.

You can pick up a cheep phone for under $20.

I just got done Chatting with Mac,

he said he is going for a walk, I urged him to get a new hand set for his phone, I also told him that it will work with the VoIP system once it gets hooked up.

I paid around ten dollars for the phone that I use.
