It is to late for me to buy a new batch of CaCl (30% solution)… Only 14 days left!!! ✂️🔪

So - I doubt it.

The term in question is "hygroscopic" - the property of pulling moisture out of the air. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcium_chloride

And, if you search the right sidebar, you'll find that calcium chloride is in fact hygryscopic. If measured by weight and stored improperly, it's quite possible that your solution could be diluted by as much as 3:1.

I highly recommend storing the stuff in solution or in a moisture-tight dry box -- tupperware will do in a pinch, but an Otterbox is better. Lab-grade dessicators are best, but that might be a slightly awkward conversation piece. :p

Anyone know if some slight swelling in the stomach is anything of major concern? Also, the place where the cords meet in the stomach is swollen and hard. Is this anything I should be highly worried about? I don't want to have to go to the emergency room and get locked up in an asylum!

This sounds like a hernia and you should go and get it checked. When did you last inject? If there are no signs of needles, they won't know what is going on. I would also complain of testicular pain and if there is swelling still point that out. As long as you don't tell them you have injected they will not have a clue. But get the hernia area checked. It can become an emergency if not fixed.

Thank you for your reply, jcat! I injected a little over forty-eight hours ago. Can injections cause a hernia? Thanks! I am also still in some pretty intense pain: 1mL of 30% CaCl because I didn't know just 0.5mL would have been effective. Not getting much sleep because of it.

I doubt that it would cause a hernia, it usually strenuous lifting or coughing..... If I were you I would go to hospital and complain of testicular pain and lower abdominal pain...DO IT! Don't tell them what you have done and you will be fine. Better safe than dead.

Thanks again! Should I give more time for the pain to ease before I do? It is really bad right now and I have a lot of swelling. I can't even sit comfortably. What kind of treatment do you think I should expect? Thank you! Also, are you referring to the emergency room? What should I say about the swelling?

Oh, also, do you know what they can do to help if I don't tell them what the actual source of the problem is? Like, what if calcium chloride has moved into my abdomen? If I don't tell them that I injected it, what can they do to help that, exactly? Thank you for your replies!

To answer all your questions Go to emergency:

1. You just tell them you have testicular pain

2. You have abdominal pain and a lump

3. You leave them to figure it out.

It is very doubtful that the fluid has traveled to your abdomen and it is more probable that you have have a co-incidental hernia.

They will scan your testicle(s) and possibly remove them or treat you for orchitis (inflammation/infection) of the testes, with pain relief and anti-biotics.

If the scan shows significant damage they may remove them for you (I guess you want this?) and repair the hernia.

Thank you for your answers, jcat! I am highly considering going. Will they be able to tell I injected CaCl?
