I hate to break the news to you that morning erections are not a very precise indicator of testosterone level. I know a eunuch who doesn't take any testisterone and he says he sometimes gets them. Yes, this is third hand, haven't seen him with one but do believe erections when sleeping. I have been castrated and take a very small amount of T and also get them. A T level under 50 is considered at a castrate level, I am at 81 and the low side of normal for my lab is 280.

Injected the right one today for the first time in three weeks. I tried to last week but it just felt wrong, so I held off for a week.

I was able to get 1/2 a cc in before the pain was just to much.

I MIGHT try the left one later, or tomorrow.

So far the edge continues to be gone from my sex drive.

I'm not yet at the point where they're gone unless I work at it, and I still get the ones at night.

I hope I lose the desire for them alltogether.

I'm going to keep going on these injections because they ARE working. My sex drive used to rule my life, but not anymore. I don't care how long it takes or how many injections I have to use, they'll be hard and small before I stop.

I'm wondering how many total new eunuchs will result from these injections. How many are actually really doing this? Will this tip off urologists around the country that somethings causing men to end up castrated? Castration being relatively rare, I wonder if one of you might not end up in Urology Today Magazine. I can see the title of the article: Strange testicular atrophy, cause unknown. Imagine if there were five or six of you from the same state, that might really get some inquisitive urologists thinking.

I would actually assume that most of us will be lumped in as people who have had things happen like traumas (skateboard accidents, angry people kicking etc) we may also be questioned along the lines of steroid abuse I assume.

When I finally decide to go to the doctor, once they die..I plan on telling him that I was hit there several months ago and now it is like this..I will see what he says. He has been my Doctor since I was a child, he should be understanding...you do make a good point as there seems to be a lot of folks doing this. I am one of them, I am doing it for real and will post the pictures once they die and I am finally my true self..

Actually, castration is a rather common occurence, notably in prostate cancer issues, as well as testicular cancer. There are at any given time several hundred thousand men in the USA alone who have been chemically or surgically castrated. Castration for other reasons is definitely not rare. I've heard of people essentially destroying their nuts from riding a bicycle a great deal. Pain and injury are not uncommon there, and orchiectomy for pain might be more rare, it is not at all unheard of.

I'm a 30 something TS woman and new to the board

I completed my first injection about 7 hours ago and let me tell you I was sooooooooo nervous!

I used Everclear and a #25 3 ml with a 3/4 inch length needle. My initial fear was the pain but then I thought about how nice is going to be when the "extra baggage" is finally gone and amazingly the needle slipped in with little incident.

I filled each testicle (first right and then left) with 1.5 cc and it all went in without any trouble.

I have two questions for those that have been down this road already:

First, how long does this ache last? My testicles are swollen to about 2x the normal size and ache like someone has grabbed hold and will not let go! This is a totally bearable sensation but nonetheless I'm curious when it will subside?

Secondly, how long should I wait to inject the second round? I have read most of the posts and it seems a week is commonly suggested. Is this correct or should I inject again after 3 or 4 days?
