I agree with Don, depression is a very serious thing. You should rule out the the chemical castration before proceeding. I would consider seeing an endocrinologist and let them know what you are doing. Since you have already started this on your own they will probably just want to work with you to make sure you aren't doing anything too dangerous. The big plus is you might be able to get your meds cheaper with a prescription since you won't have to go to Inhouse Pharmacy.

What ever you decide to do please take care.

All in all, I actually feel better since starting the DP. I've just had a few bad days and have felt my anxiety level rise lately. I could tell something was wrong before my wife lost her job, but I didn't really know what. I just felt like something bad was coming soon.

I had the sales/management interview yesterday and it actually went better than I thought it might. It's at one of the mega-fitness clubs and could be a really great opportunity. And it's only 15 minutes from home!! I have a few other things to check out but I'm really thinking about pursuing this oportunity. I just hate to give up my'07 ford f-150 company truck. But I wouldnt really need it because I wouldnt be driving 1500 miles a week!

Thanks for the replies and concerns. I promise to take care of myself and not do anything stupid. I really think my "down" days lately are more situational related than hormonal but I'll post regularly so I can get you guys feedback.

I found it very hard to seperate the "hormonal" from the situational. Going on HRT for me gave me this short view of both worlds. Then my healthy hormonal self had trouble seeing the pre HRT me as normal. My theory is that how we are wired (Low or normal or even above normal) hormones become the normal quickly and we are not able to see it as well as an outsider would.

Good luck with the new job! I hope you get it. I drive WAY too much to get to and from my job.

I've been thinking about the whole chem castration thing and wondering how to continue. I've been thinking about just trying to kill my sex drive with prozac or celexa vs. testosterone reduction. I guess there is no need to rush a decission and I do still have 2 DP injections still in the gun safe.

Some of the side effects have been bothersome like always being either too hot or too cold which can happen at the same time to different parts of the body depending on covers or being against my wife, etc.

I do like that body hair seems to be finer and not grow as fast but do I want to give up my strength and muscle? The whole lack of energy is kind of a drag too. All that and I still havn't really got drive down to where I want it. I actually did something that I sholdnt have which proves to me that I'm not where I want to be. At least I probably cant get anyone pregnant....

That was the issue I had - I'm an extremely high energy pe rson and it drug me down to the floor - wasn't doing crap around the house, no excercise - blah....

Estrogen seems to keep it down, although not out.....but I take that for a maintenance purpose ....:)

Now I'm in Martial Arts, high energy again, low libido (but not gone)..

I don't forsee doing T-blockers ever again unless I had to get castrated.

This is the #1 reason everyone should try chem castration before doing the real thing.....

12-28-07 150mg booster shot of DP

I've been feeling pretty decent lately except that my libido seems to have increased a bit. I went ahead and did another DP booster to try to get libido down. The last two injections have left small bruises immediately after injection. I actually SAW the bruise happen on the injection last week. Was really wierd to watch. It's odd because I NEVER bruise. It usually takes a major imact to cause a bruise. Any idea what causes that? Anyone else had the same issue? By the way, I'm picking up my 30 day supply of celexa tomorrow ($4/ wal-mart) to reduce libido and ward of any further depression.

I would say you passed the needle thought a blood vessel, did you pull back on the plunger to make sure you were not in one? if you just past though it and pushed into more muscle its perfictly all right, happens all the time.

Yup, always pull back to make sure I'm not in a vein. It's not a big deep bruise as it only about the size of an eraser head but I can feel a little knot, right under the skin. BTW, I did the injection at full depth. Is this just a normal symptom of lower T?

Brusing is? I think. Don't know where I saw this? Anyway good luck with Celexia I hope you really need that for depression because I have worked with folks who were on it (That I knew pre drug) and frankly I would not touch that shit with a 10 ft poll. One guy went from mr Ubber cool cat to Johnny Veg...

my psychiatrist tried to put me on that stuff and after researching it i said no @%$ way, its pretty addictive like most SRRIs and has a list of side effects as long as my arm. Of course, paxil and Prozac isn't much better, i opted for Wellbutrin XL but i think that has the opposite sexual side effect than your looking for... ;) I do find it impossible to O after my evening xanax but my drive is still intact. If your suffering from sexual compulsion i think maby it might be time to start seeking psychological help, just my opinion but not exactly unjustified.
