I know what you mean by the "Bride of Frankenstein." Though many transgendered persons can transition into beautiful people of their new sex, a few seem not too. It could be that they are on the verge or beginning of transition or that they have decided not to undergo the necessary surgery that would make them either more feminine or more male. I was sent on an errand by my wife to pick up a "gift card" for my niece at a cosmetic/accessory store. Standing in front of me was a man who was trying her best to look like a woman, but unfortunately, he was not portraying the feminine look very well. Women in the store were giggling as he talked with the clerk about nail polish & lip stick. I did not know what to do, I just felt bad for him or her. It is so so difficult to pull off the look of a woman, especially after being abused by testosterone for years. I am sympathetic and understand the hardship. Most people are so cruel, which makes it doubly hard to even attempt transition.

Hi MRT, I did search on Google and found the answer. I don't know when it will air again, but they do re-run the shows.

Dr. 90210 Episode Summary Season 3, Episode 13

Aired March 6 2006

Patient #2: Joe

Procedure: Testicle Implant

Surgeon: Dr. Gary Alter

Joe, a 21-year old from Spring Grove, PA, wants to feel more confident and most importantly - like a "man." When he was 6 years old, he suffered from testicular torsion, and was taken to the hospital for enlargement caused by a twisted tube. So as a child, Joe had to have one of his testicles removed; then getting older, he realized that he only had one. This prompted teasing for years. Recently returning home as a marine from overseas and losing close friends in war, Joe wants to take this small step and do something for himself. This puts Dr. Gary Alter, a doctor who specializes in cosmetic and genital surgery, to work.

During his pre-op visit, Dr. Alter shows him the types of silicone implants balls to choose from; understanding the importance of a young man needing this surgery to feel more comfortable in intimate relationships. Dr. Alter explains the incision method to Joe and that he will do his best to make them symmetrical, but points out that no man's testicles hang at the same level. With excitement, Joe admits that this is something he has wanted his whole life.

All in all, this surgery takes 30 minutes for Dr. Alter to complete. And while it is generally considered a minor procedure, he knows that testicle implant surgery will have a major impact on Joe's life.

In preparation for the procedure, the patient gets local anesthesia. Alter makes a tiny incision for the solid silicone implant, inserts it, and closes the incision. With excellent positioning of the implant, Joe's results are symmetrical making Dr. Alter happy with helping someone feel better about their body. Lying down after his surgery, Joe says that this is another chapter closed.

But then Joe leaves Dr. Alter wondering if everything went well, because he keeps his space and doesn't return any calls for a post-op visit!

Hi Hash, It take a lot of guts to do what this person is doing. I'm not that gutsey.

My first psychologist told me his wife went to a convention in LA and saw someone like I would be if I transitioned. She was tall with broad square sholders. He said it just didn't work. I also saw a person like this a work one day. She looked absolutley miserable. It's sad we can't always be what we want to be. Steve

I downloaded I tunes and bought what I thought was this show. Is this the one with the lady cop with breast implants? ITunes and Quicktime are about the worst thing I've even seen. Skipping, stopping slowing the machine down to zero. Really junky. I limped through it but I didn't see Dr Alter at all so... 🤮

Just a little update. I went for my third shot on my new 3 week schedule yesterday. I think she hit a nerve 😠 . She didn't think that once in 2 years was bad. Usually I don't feel a thing. Any way I am feeling a lot better on this new schedule. Next time I get blood work done also to make sure all is OK. Steve

Well I went a little bit crazy. Since I am basically a cheep skate and not very shy any more and wanting to see what was in the extreme section of BME, I sent in some pictures in of the work Dr. Alter did on me. So I'm now in good company with some of you other fine folks. They're not the best pix in the world, but I didn't have a pro take them either. Any way for those that look, you can let me know what you think of Dr. Alter's job. Had I known what I know now, I might have had him do things a little differently. He said he could do a little redo if I want, but I am pretty happy just being rid of the balls and scrotum. Anything else I would have done now would be for my own vanity. I think I've spent enough on myself as it is. Steve

PS, my pix are here in Eunuchs:

Is there anyway to view the photos without joining BME?
