Yes the blood test is much more accurate than the saliva test.
If you could get the normal range the lab uses, the range numbers would tell you whether it is total testosterone or free testosterone test results.
Based on my lab range numbers for both tests, your result is far below low end of normal, but free testosterone range numbers differ by age range too.
Try to inquire about the tests range numbers for each test. e
Thanks, I'll try and get the info. I don't think they're going to be too useful though. Grrr
thinking about it... if I use the same clinic to check my levels after I start my trial, I wonder if it's going to raise some alarms if my 2nd result is drastically lower!

Okay so I managed to get hold of the "full" lab results, all it says is:
Result: 16.1 nmol/L
Reference ranges apply to adults: 7.6 - 31.4

That is a free testosterone test result. It appears you are in the middle of normal for your age.
The pituitary gland in your brain regulates the amount of testosterone your body makes.LINK TO A BANNED SITE WAS POSTED!
Most of the testosterone in your blood attaches to two proteins: albumin and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG). Some testosterone is not attached to proteins, or free. Free testosterone and albumin-bound testosterone are also referred to as bioavailable testosterone. This is the testosterone that is easily used by your body.

Having done some Googling, it looks like there's literally no set defined "normal" range and it varies from lab to lab!
Either way, I at least have a starting measurement I guess. I'll probably get another test a month into my Triptorelin trial. I wonder how close to 0 it'll be

Did you mean total testosterone? I thought it was hard to accurately test free testosterone because the levels are usually so small?

No, I do mean free testosterone.
Free testosterone can be adequately measured in blood draw samples to indicate the bioavaikable testosterone, which varies by age. Vioavailable testosterone

The test result you presented appears to me to be that of free testosterone by the low numbers in the reference range used by the lab you used, which are 7.6 - 31.4.
The lab I use has a free testosterone reference range of 46.0-224.0.
I have yet to see a total testosterone reference range with the first number under 100. Total testosterone ranges are reported in the hundreds, such as, for example, 300 - 1000 and 200 - 750. Different Labs use different numeric ranges for both total and
The lab I use uses 130.0 - 700.0 for total testosterone.
Normal testosterone level, total or free, is determined by the specific lab reference

I'm so confused now
ive just read this:
http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/1 ... ne-levels/ and my result seems to equate to the figures associated with total testosterone? (Assuming my 16.1 nmol/l converts to 464 ng/dl). Referring to the 2nd chart that uses age ranges and has the lower 5% and 10% figures.
i really want to understand this because I want to know what's going on with my levels when I start my Triptorelin.
thanks

Hello everyone,
Long time lurker here (although my account was deleted recently for some reason). I've read all the discussions here about edronax and I'd really like to try it out. However, the main source I could find (goldpharma) will absolutely not deliver in France where I live. Do anyone here have any reputable website from which to buy? (I'm not sure I can receive pms yet, but I can be reached at my username @outlook.fr if you don't want to reply publicly).
Anyway, thanks for any help in this
