I'll be doing cartwheels the day my weight (in pounds) is a number that starts with the digit 1. I have not had that for about 6 years now and all the stress of the last few years kept me from being motivated to do anything about it.

I figure I have another two months to go, at least, before my weight begins with 1. Then it will be on to my high school weight - 185 pounds. I hope to reach my next goal tomorrow or Saturday (224 pounds, or 10% loss since I started at 249), the next after that will be 215 - What I weighed when I moved back to the west coast in 2009.

W00t! Looks like I've finally broken my plateau! Switching back from just being on a low-carb diet to being on the paleo diet again, (which includes fruit, but does NOT include all of the processed meat products that I've been eating recently,) plus adding a weekly mile run into my routine, has apparently worked. This morning on the scale, I officially dropped below 230 lbs for the first time ever, having hit 229.8, which means I've now officially lost a grand total of 40 lbs since starting my diet in January. YAY!!! :D

Congrats Cheetakin243! You came off a plateau and I made my second goal on the same day.

As of this morning I've lost 10% of my starting weight. I'm at 224 pounds. On to Goal 3 - losing half of what I set out to lose which is a relatively close target to where I'm at now at only 7 pounds away. (Clever people will notice this is 2 pounds higher than my goal stated in my last post - I decided to change it to 50% of what I set out to lose instead of the other).

Good luck to everyone else on this journey.

I have a suggestion. Grow your very own Spirulina and Chlorella in a fish tank. A green blue algae that is packed with micronutrients and requires little maintenance and a gradual check with regards to water ph and UV light. very cool process and

is a good food for weight loss. Soon as I move out I'm growing this stuff for sure.

I bought one of those silver Olive Oil Sprayer things and gee, it works.

I use entirely too much oil for things and after a couple pumps and a spray, there's enough on the pan and enough on the fried chicken (which is baked in the convection oven)...

How's everyone coming in the weight loss department?

I just had an official biometric screening done at work a couple of days ago, and the results were as follows:

Weight: 227 lbs (down a whopping 43 lbs from my starting point!)

Body Fat: 28.0%

Total Cholesterol: 109 (which, if I've told you about my diet, which is like 70% red meat plus copious amounts of saturated-fat-laden butter and coconut oil, should be pretty shocking, and a pretty good indicator of how backwards our medical establishment is about how to deal with these numbers...)

Blood Glucose: 94.

The nurse at work was so impressed that she seriously asked me what in the world my diet was that produced these numbers. And I told her, paleo diet... no grains, no starches, just meat, veggies, and fruit.

217 lbs, down 65 lbs from starting just over six months ago. Cholesterol 102. Diet: Primarily fruit, vegetables, fish, nuts, vitamins, minerals and protein. No grains, sugar or meat. Hope to get below 200 by the end of this summer.

You will, I've followed same diet. Although every morning I eat a couple toast made of whole grain with olive oil.

137lbs 28x32 waistwise wearing shorts.

My muscular thighs force me to wear 30x32 pants. (Slim wont work for me. And when I mean bulky muscular I mean the real deal)

rest is skinny as toothpick.

1.I ate 2 slices of sprouted wheat germ + virgin coconut oil, teaspoon of spirulina + chlorella + 1 ubiquinol pill

2. for lunch I had a flaxseed shake with mulberries, hemp hearts, spoon of maca, avocado and goji berry and some chia seeds

3. dinner sweet potato, black beans, pinto beans , brocolli, red lentils and quinoa

interesting thing too about brocolli, you have to chew to extract nutrients. it behaves like those glowsticks where you have to give it some friction to set off reaction.

I thought this was really cool

4. snack time was a banana

NB = Avid drinker of water (sometimes will add a pinch of sea salt)

I go to bathroom many times. One of the things to watch out if you eat either a meat or plant based diet are kidney stones.

Vegan lifestyle without water ----> could lead to oxalate kidney stones(sadly these are much much more painful)

meat lifestyle -------> leads to rise of too much uric acid forming kidney stones.

Drink lots of water to flush down toxic waste

NB = Sorry for my prior attitude. Honestly I don't know what got over me but you know Iv'e seen cases of people being heavy meat eaters and remaining skinny.

I guess theres a diet different suited for everyone.

As much as I like Dr McGregor I still think he doesn't close in on some gaps.

For example he excludes free range grass fed meat free from hormones, antibiotics and bonemeal.

Another doctor (Cuban btw) says that there are two types of diets active and passive.

Devi if you know spanish you may find this very interesting cuz it explains why some people are perfectly tune with meat or a vegan lifestyle.

Has something to do with the sun as well.

The sun aparently can raise the blood ph for some people or lower it for others

people allergic to the sun happen to risk blood ph raising too much and this sets off an allergic reaction that worsens when consuming meaty diets.

A veggie diet is more suited for such individuals.

I am extremely sensitive to the sun. This was remarkable more to it than this though

My mom discovered this and it actually gets me a little ticked off. I'll post link soon. I need to get it from her

I have always been skinny.

But I did gain some weight using chem.

Im 6" foot tall and weight atm 148lbs

My goal is to be my old weight again, that is around 133lbs

I know I may sound silly, especially for some who are trying to getting down from 200+lbs.

But I just feel that way, and with my bodybuild its just the right weight for me.

I don't take much calories in, but I'm doing it all wrong, that's why I don't lose weight I guess.

I'm addicted to sugar, sugar in the coffee, in the tea, eating sweat snacks.

But I think my total intake is less then 1500 calories.
