Ah? Does a Russky wife, inlaws and more distant family from the area, count?

River, did YOU know the last couple of winters have been so mild and dry that the joke was they needed a Napoleon or Hitler to bring back winter.

This winter may be the end of a relative drought as lowered some rivers.

When the Russians were in America they were amazed at how volatile our weather is. They see the news of tornadoes, hurricanes, and destructive storms in America. Oh yes, and earthquakes.

Does that cover my credentials for "What does Moi Know Of St. Petersberg (Petrograd) weather?

Thank You 🙏 RIVER, You are excused per your request, listen to the whole link now.

But, no pipes froze and nothing collapsed.

Hey, Dave

Looks like among all EA Nation you got this one too

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_northeast_storm

Still south of Ernie-land and sparing Dixieland this time.

How's it going ?

Hope you are all managing okay.

I hate being without electricity. Pondered the ultimate pig act of

putting in a natural gas powered electric generator for times of

electricity failure because the gas always works.

Good Luck frozen members.

Our currently blizzardest members probably can't get online.

Seem the storm track moved a tad north as it dumped snow.

Old folks say it is like the old days before the current, littlest warm up. 😄

which may be remembered in future history as preceding the tiniest chill down.

All these storms that started in California and moved to the east coast have missed us, we have not gotten but about a 1/10 of an inch of snow this month. Now it has been a little on the cool side, it was -10 this morning but next week were going to be in a spring warming trend it should get up to the mid 30's, maybe. I guess its time to start planing my garden as spring is just around the corner.

We now have classic Saint-Petersburg weather... +1C, almost 100% humidity and mist.

Looking from the window... it this amount of snow will thaw at once... Okay, let's not think of bad things.

PS. We have fiber optic to the appartment buildings and six competing providers, so we can get online :).

You're right I couldn't get online...no power! I wasn't so sure about plugging the computer into the generator, so I didn't.

We really didn't get much snow, and I really can't tell you how much we actually got...IT BLEW EVERYWHERE!!!!! Wind gusts up to 60mph!!!

Several inches of light snow with wind like that made yet another mess! The road drifted shut, the power went out about 8AM, it wasn't terribly cold but the wind just took your breath.

It snowed another inch overnight, but the wind is gone.

I'm REALLY ready for spring!!! Oh and to make matters worse my Mom and Stepdad are in St. Thomas...on the beach!!!

If I understand the predictions, correctly, -

there is a lot of rain headed toward the same areas where

they had no place left to stack the snow.

RAIN coming to them as to melt their snow and then some flooding too.

Add it up. Melting snow plus up to ten inches of rain, all very quickly.

Storms that bypassed So. Califo-nia seemed to have come back

on the southerly path as if they blessed So. Califo-nia too.

Do you blizzardest members have floating cars too?

More importantly, do you float?

Stay in touch 🙏 as you can. 🙄

The floods have limited their online time. 💡
