I am very glad to hear that the incision is closed. Some medical sites say 6 to 12 weeks is normal healing time. I have known of some scrotal surgeries that take forever (or, at least, seem to take forever) to heal. I think that is one of the characteristics of that part of the body. --FLO--

Hole is FINALLY closed. Now, I have a nasty looking indention in my scrotum. Granted, eventually, I am CONSIDERING going though the second procedure... but right now, I am not sure.
It took 2.5 months for my incision to heal... That's insane.
My scrotum still has a nasty crease in it after almost 3-months! It does seem to be flattening out, but very slowly....
I do agree that the healing time was unnaturally long thanks to Dr. Kimmel's blundering surgery. Poor Helsinki had to be hospitalized for several days after her surgery at the hands of Dr. Kimmel. I do hope her recovery is proceeding uneventfully now.

I would NEVER trust Dr. Kimmel. There have been many posts/stories about him that lead me to believe that he is/was a hack. As one who routinely assisted in castrations of cats for an in-home vet practice, I can tell you that the procedure never produced any of the awful post-surgical complications I have read about for Kimmel's patients/victims. Granted, we're not cats, but male mammals are male mammals, and scrotums and testicles are scrotums and testicles. There has to be a safer, better way, a more accomplished practitioner out there.

Not to worry. He has already retired and no longer in business.
