Emergency temporary infrastructure
water, electricity, sanitation, housing, sustenance,
should be a Military action.
The civilians and their code books are not up to the job.
When things are up and running, the civilian authorities
can then make the permanent fixes and bring them up to code and permanence.
We have the power to do better and chose not to do so!

River, was your response to Katrina the same, or did you hold Bush responsible for aid not being comprehensive within 24 hours? Obama already won, so I'm just asking.

Please don't turn this into a Bush/Brown/FEMA/Genocide festival thread. Do it in another one.
Just sayin'...

SNOWING

:redbounce
I love the snow, I guess it comes from growing up in LA where it never ever snows, living here in the mid west the first time it snows each year brings a smile to my face and a warm heart oh yes and cold feet.

I saw snow yesterday.
Way across the desert and on the tops of mountains.
A good place to store snow.

Rain is behind for this time of year normal. Way behind.
Storms are trying to deliver from the NorthWest but don't get much past Central California.
No water shortage worries, it is storming in my water reservoir areas.
Here it is like threatening rain alternating with a weak Santa Ana that doesn't really influence the temperature in the mid sixties. The atmosphere just "feels" good. It is the beautiful sunset time of year.
The Fuji apples are crisp, juicy, acidy and sweet off the tree.
The Loquat trees are thick with flowers and bees are active. BTW Loquats and Apples are related.
The Autumn colored trees are still colorful and holding their leaves.
Pray for our rain Thursday thru the W'end. Please.

A-1, why were you on the "grassy knoll" that day in Dallas? Come clean and it will go easier for you.
