Sure sounds like a lot of fun. Wish I was well enough to come visit, I'd love to try my hand at panning for gold.

BTW, I got myself a new Garrett metal detector and boy is it so much nicer than those old ones I was using. It does most everything but dig up what you find. :) I've gotten plenty of "hits" on it in my yard already. It should give me lots of practice before I head out to the the parks and other places.

I tried my hand at flying RC planes once. I built a 7 ft glider with a small engine to get it airborne. Take offs and flying it was ok, lets just say the landings were not so good. 😄 I stuck with something a little more down to earth, RC cars, but haven't fooled with them in a while.

When I was young I was big into slot cars. We would paint the bodies and modify the cars. Of course it was round and round and round again. Rc cars are a little more free to travel.

I have a lifelong obsession with genetics and that expresses itself in a number of activities throughout my life so far. Next year I was seriously considering University.

Pure genetics wasnÂ’t available during my kid years. I probably missed the opportunity to make a significant contribution to humanity via that pathway.

However the focus has helped me in this life considerably to understand the bigger picture. I now have come to the understanding that it was an obsession in a recent past incarnation and that IÂ’m probably going to finish off the process of that life in this one.

But getting back to hobbies; I breed animals and record the results. These days those animals are thoroughbred horses, Australian cattle dos, guppies, fantail pigeons and for the last six years I have been bantamising super layers (hens)

When I was a school kid in my early teens I could recite Queen Elizabeth IIÂ’s linage back to William the Conqueror and Alfred the Great. Now days with computer technology at my disposal that has expanded to her pedigree and all the crowned heads of state of Europe (which are essentially one family or race) IÂ’ve also done my own and anyone elseÂ’s I come into contact with.

All of the above animals also have a recorded pedigree even the fish but the real challenge is the race horse. I have traced their pedigrees back to the foundation stock which in some cases is the late 1600Â’sÂ’ other than the royal family: IÂ’ve traced theirs back to Adam and Eve.

{trivia time: your president George W Bush like 12 other US presidents is a descendant of King John of England and therefore the biblical Adam and Eve. ItÂ’s obvious now that Adam and Eve were monkeys}

IÂ’m basically creative and I used to like painting but that matured into landscape gardening which IÂ’ve done for a vocation for a significant part of my life but now do as a hobby

While not a hobby I have three preschool age children with my current wife and I enjoy involving them in all of my stuff, IÂ’m a full on father

And these days I seem to be thriving on 2 ½ to 4 hours sleep a night.

Thanks for this opportunity to share.

Love you all
