So it's one week past and the swelling's gone down a lot and the incision's more than halfway closed. There is still a fair amount of painful local swelling surrounding the incision site itself and where the root of the penis enters the scrotum. Other than that I'm doing quite well.

i'm being castrated sat. the 29th. dr A is doing the castration, i was a bit hesitant, i've been trying to find a good dr. and very glad to hear all the good reports, very nice to have this site to go to for info. i will give you a report on my castration as soon as i'm back home.. again thanks for all the plus reports on dr. A i will pass that along

I would like to point out to people that even when done properly by a doctor, castration is a pretty serious operation. It seems so simple -- just cut some cords and remove the testicles. However, even done by trained surgeon there are weeks of swelling, risks of infection, tenderness, etc. Usually a couple months before it can be considered fully healed in the sense that the body is no longer building up fluid, brusing, or fighting infection. Just pointing it out so that anyone considering do-it-yourself understand the reality.

omg i fly into detroit friday afternoon( to see dr arnkoff for my appointment saturday morning! im really really nervous, but im excited also,lol,so far everything i read about him on here has been good so im glad about that.tomorrow im going to go buy a jock strap for after my surgery and im going to stay in town for a few days until tuesday.any last minute advice before i go would be nice and ill let everyone know hgow everything went when i get back

there are 2 operations for this one is to cut the abdormin open

to cut the cords the other is to cut the balls open and tie the cords or burn them .

Can some one set me straight on this operation her will do ?

I'm hoping its not the one where he cut open your lower belly.
