A kilometer is 0.6 mile.

10 kilometers is 6 miles

10 kilometers per hour is 6 miles per hour

40 kph is about 25 mph

100 kph is 60 mph

125 kph is about 75 mph (approximately)

150 kph is 90 mph

200 kph is 120 mph

Any speed higher than has got to be illegal, unsafe and really stupid because that airbag won't help a damn if you hit another car. I mean dude, it's like your head won't just splatter on the inside of the windshield, it's going to deform as it punches a hole out of your car and your body follows. Then if you hit the ground or object in front of the car, what's left of your brain will splat like jello shot out of a cannon.

Beyond that, the gayest video in the world according to OUT magazine is Olivia Newton John's "PHYSICAL" ...

I find it hard to believe it gets 11.7 miles per gallon.

Is that possible or Russian?

:D

We can start another thread on Russian engineering or Russian cars for that matter. :)

12mpg is really inefficient for 1.6 liter engine and 80hp top power.

And I do not suffer metric system, I enjoy it.

Fhunter, a bit masochistic. :) (And nonreligious).

Thank You for the clarification.

I guess Napoleon did some good for you peoples, ref. metric. ;)

But what ever happened to the metric calendar and the metric clock? 😄

A 1.6L engine getting only 12 MPG is indeed inefficient but I expected the switch from wheels to treads would cost more then 12 MPG achieved.

All things considered, terrain and such, 12 MPG ain't so bad.

May our English units prevail like the 60 second/minute, 60 minute/hour,

24 hour/day, 7 day/week, etc!

Our worst hit members seem to have been from Western Pennsylvania and near Baltimore.

Others have, Winter because they do not live in Califo-nia.

How's it going Blizzard Members?

Got your snow stacked up ready for the next round or storms in a few days,

when the current series of Southern Califo-nia rain storms barrel across the same path, down the middle and out the Atlantic?

What did you do with all that snow they said they had no place to put and it was going to take 2 weeks to dig out secondary streets?

Moi! It is -24C here with -36C windchill.... Brrr.... and I have to go out.

Is this a global warming? Global cooling I say :).

Just thinking about the weather in the evening, when I would be returning home.

Fhunter, freezing in Russia.

Holy Shit!! Fhunter!! That's mean!!! I've gotten to really hate the cold.

We've had very moderate temps here. Right around freezing during the day with nice bright sunshine! For all practical purposes our roads are open and passable and we've even had some meltage!!!

The last storm is pretty well cleaned up....guess what, we have more coming on Monday!

COME ON SPRING!!!!!!!!

Ugh. We got down to about -15C here a couple of week ago and I thought I was going to freeze my...oh wait, nope. We finally got a thaw yesterday (wet sand!) and you're supposed to be sending some of your cold air down to my end of the Baltic beginning tonight, nothing nearly as bad though. The worst I ever endured growing up back in the US was -32C, but the thing that gets to me here in northern Europe is more the darkness.

If you can engineer one of those tank things for my bicycle, then those mean old ladies will have no idea what hit them when they cuss me out for existing. "Junger Mann, du bist in meinem Weg, du Scheisse...(splat)".

We are promised +4C at wednesday... hope we wouldn't get washed into Neva and then into Baltic :).

Darkness 🙄... at least we have white nights during summer.

PS. You don't need to reinvent the wheel, sorry, tracks ;) - http://ktrakcycle.com/

but this is probably expensive. And doesn't have the "look". :(

While I appreciate it is cold in Russia, it is cold at the North Pole too.

It seems hardly a fair comparison with more popular areas of the globe, such as Califo-nia.

Or even Wisconsin.

Streetglide forgot to share with you although his roads are open, in the city,

they don't know where to put all the know.

I suggested inventing a machine powered snow compressor. Pour the snow in a funnel and it compresses the snow into bricks for convenient stacking.

I liked the picture of the snow bicycle. In my neighborhood it would have a little electric motor.

Thanks again.
