I tried andocur for a bit, only 50 mg a day, with the depo-provera. Like everything else it sent my T level to castrate level...

Side note - I did 100mg a day the first time and within two weeks - full castration level - backed down to 50mg and stayed there a few months and it took a couple of months (2 maybe?) to get it all working again.

This last time was only 50mg for a month and I quit what, 3 weeks ago now, close to one month and things are SLOWLY getting back to normal...but not like it was before...

STill wonder if Androcur is permanent if used frequently (on/off)......anyone?

Honestly, avoid the Androcur...IMHO....if you do not want full castration - there's no middle of the road with it...

After talking with several people, I think I will add some spirolinactone to the DP and go every two weeks on the Depo provera.

Not that I know squat about this but:

Carcinogenicity

Studies of spironolactone and the related compound potassium canrenoate (which, like spironolactone, metabolizes to canrenone) in rats for one to two year periods show an increase in carcinogenesis in the thyroid gland, testes, liver, breasts, and myelocytic leukocytes. Mammalian cells, depending on the presence of metabolic activation, show mixed results for mutagenicity in vitro.[6] In light of this research, Sandoz has recommended that unnecessary use of spironolactone be avoided.

Judging by what I have read so far Tamax would be a safer bet but I know nothing of the interaction with depo. And it would help stop osteoporosis according to the wiki.

So far for me Androcur has been enough in low doses to reduce my drive without killing it, do you really want to actually kill it? I am finding it nice so far anyway to still want my wife, want to be intimate but without the anger and frustration that usually accompanies denial, more a recognition and a preparedness to wait for a opportune time for a good romp.

The rough way to do it is "height X width X length X .71 = volume"

You can also get a good estimate using this orchidometer (http://www.puberty101.com/p_orchidometer.shtml).

I didn't meausure mine before I started but I can tell that they arn't as full. I'm sure I've lost about 20-25 % volume. I can pinch them kinda flat when before they would just roll out from between my fingers.

Day 80 (ish?)- (1) 150 mg depo provera.

I got my last shipment from inhouse last weekend. I have had it for a week and just got around to doing injection. It was over due as it's been about 5 weeks. I have to admit that the prospect of the injection was not exciting at all. It seems like it hurts more after the T level has dropped and the excitement part is gone. I am still commited to staying like this as long as possible because I feel liberated and freed from a tormenting over active libido.

Last monday (october 22, 2007) I added 200mg of spiro/day to the regimin. I plan on staying at 200mg/day for 2-3 weeks then dropping down to 100 mg/day.

The delivery from inhouse was a bit odd. It was last saturday and the postal carrier rang the doorbell and asked for a signature for the package. After a bit, my wife asked what I'd been ordering and I told her it was the stuff we had talked about by e-mail a few months ago. She didn't say anything further. I still think it odd that she's never brought it up.

My energy level seems OK except that I don't need sleeping pills anymore at night. I've lost about 10 lbs. (6.21 kg) since starting this ride and holding at 210lb. Down to 36" waistline on the jeans. I'm shooting for 195-200 lb which is what I weighed when I got out of the Army in 1992 at age 22.

As far as marital relations, everything seems normal. No problem getting it up or off. Don't have much interest in solo pleasure anymore but like others here have said, it's a habit to try. I don't even think about it til bedtime then I'm usually to tired to bother. TMI?

That all sounds like good news. It is a little strange that your wife isn't more curious about your packages and about the decision you made a while back. I never did tell my wife and I recieved my latest package last Saturday. She asked, "what's that?" I said, "a package for me." She looked at me and said, "You better not be keeping secrets from me, mister." That was that.

When they go from firm/plump to squishy they are pretty much shut down. I would measure them to get an idea how far you've gone.

Proof that when your full of hormones "everything" is sexual. Even injecting drugs to castrate yourself. Your state post hormone wise is predictable. Why would continuing to do this be sexualy exciting? Even better why would it ever have been? Is it still useful? Do you find life better this way for you and your family? If so that has to be the reason you continue to do this not any sexual thrill.

You mention that marital relations "seems normal" Does your wife agree? I found that what I thought (with low T) to be normal was very unsatisfactory to my wife. Not often enough and so forth. I applaud you talking to her about your decision. This is good. Continue to talk to make sure this is working as well for her is I think a good direction.
