This will give you all the satisfaction you may want from doing a self cast but will still keep you reasonably safe. The only risks here will be the embarrassment of explaining the situation to the ER staff and the later conversations with the psychiatric fraternity. Make sure the ER don't call the police. Tell them that you did it by yourself even if you had help(recommended) and advise them that you will sue their ass if your privacy is not strictly maintained.
