The FBI told us their reason they arrested us was because of our lifestyle. They simply had to manufacture our crime(s) to make sure we went to prison as our lifestyle itself was not illegal. Since when do the Feds let a law stand in their way from incarcerating someone, especially if doing so gets their name in the paper and they get promoted for their actions? Lastly, for those who leave the country, you are still a US citizen. Thus, the US will hunt you down, wherever you may be found, and bring you back to face US charges for doing what is legal in the country you moved to. To leave, you have to find a country that will give you citizenship and also be allowed by the USA to get rid of your US citizenship. Also, forget about modern life. US laws view any internet access by someone they want to incarcerate gives them jurisdiction to kidnap you and bring you to justice. I saw a lot of that inside. But main charge was conspiracy to mutilate the genitals of female minor children. This would have never happened if some BME people did not

Todd, i realy don't know about you finacial situation, nor how broken you feel. But as "tightening the screws" happens all around the so called western word, I sometimes thing about how to handle these things. There is basically three ways - shut up and live with it, which is cowardice - raise a gun, which means to kill members of you own nation and with public massaged with todays anti terrorist media will never led to necessary uprising or - escape from it. This last option isn't heroic in anyway, but still give you chance to look into mirror in the morning. Other problem is where to fled - for members of my nation it was usually USA, but word have changed during last 22 years. European Union is changing to Union of European Socialist Republics, it is not that bad at the moment but I don't see the future in bright colors. But maybe next crisis and our still not forget experience with communist regime will return us to some more relaxed state.

Just as something I had planned for years, and now it is the time. I don't view it as a submissive gesture, or paradoxically as a complete nullification of my sexuality. For me, it is more of a sexual adventure, even if for a time it means no sex and no erections. I view it as a positive extension and expression of my sexuality and my overall life sexual experience.

If I may, I would like to comment, without intending to "steal any of Todd's thunder." I never met Todd, except on these boards.

Why did I get my orchiectomy in 1986? My purpose was to be a sexual person for far longer than I thought likely without the orchiectomy. Yes, I wondered what it would be like to once again have testosterone levels plausibly like I had prior to puberty. Alas, dead at an age much younger than I now am, in the manner of my dad and brother, I would not even have such sexuality as I have.

By the early 1950s, prior to the onset of puberty, my independent study of biology had informed me that testosterone, necessary for the next generation to be made, tends to notably shorten the lives of the present generation. I also recognized that, in "primitive" hunter-gatherer societies, the typical relatively short life of men and the longer lives of women were factors in human species survival. Times, and circumstances, have changed somewhat, and biological species survival traits optimal in the hunter-gatherer times may have become antithetical to future human survival.

For those who believe in "intelligent design," it long ago occurred to me that human male anatomy is optimal for the change, given that it is practical to keep testosterone for as long as one finds it useful to help procreate the next generation and simple to dump testosterone once one has arrived at an age where it has transformed into a life-diminishing liability.

Of course, my being quite well somewhere in the transgendered realm made it very attractive to dump testosterone once I had completed my work in helping to make the next generation. Also, given my family prostate disease history, I figured my chances of erections and orgasms would eventually be vastly higher if I got the orchiectomy than if I did not.

And, yes, there is what I would recognize as a "spiritual" aspect to my choices, whatever "spiritual" may be.

My encounter with people who are of gender diversity is long-standing. I was, for quite a while, a member of the Chicago Gender Society (CGS), where I met with an assortment of gender diverse folks, all of whom I found to be totally valid people.

One day, at a CGS meeting, another member asked me why I did not cross dress. My reply was, "What makes you think I am not cross-dressed now?"

There is a story I heard, the truth of which I have yet to check. It is of Chinese cooking wherein fish is made into mock pork and the mock pork into mock fish. Pork being the more valuable, as I recall the story, this double transformation allowed serving fish while being regarded as having served the more valuable pork.

So, it might be fair to allow that I am a genotypic male having a somewhat predominantly female mental phenotype who presents, because of the complications of being autistic and transgendered, as somewhat more male than female in social contexts. I have taken on this strategy for the simple reason that it makes the difficulties of my encounter with human society manageable enough that I am glad to wake up, morning after morning, and plan to do so for as long as my body can make one more gasp.

I guess it would be decently accurate to allow that my orchiectomy was an aspect of enhancing my sexuality (by avoiding dying for a while) and not a way of diminishing it.

Concurrently, I find life much more satisfying through no longer being trapped within a three day sexual release mandate cycle.

Seems to me that, if two things are actually identically the same, there can be only one of them. Diversity seems to be commanded by the "laws" of biophysics, especially by the Pauli Exclusion Principle. That is another story.

What Todd wrote makes real sense to me, it is a rather decent description of the way I made my orchiectomy decision.
