You mean that tiny theater with the sticky floors? I've been there...

I have wondered how a floor can be sticky and slippery at the same time. --FLO--

I shouldn't say this because people will ask questions but the floor sticks to your shoes while your bare ass slides across it.

Now I didn't say that. I'll deny any real knowledge of it. It wasn't even written here. Your eyes are deceiving you.

Good memory.

A classic B movie with Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I remember what a big deal it was to us kids,

that it was, Zsa Zsa, not some peep show. Just that it was, her.

Emily:

In my opinion the only good star trek was the first TV series. The movies were almost all poor. Even "Scotty" couldn't stay awake for #1 for example. I liked the shiny space ships and the better future. The idea that we "might" just get past killing each other and be better people really inspired me. Spock, Vulcans and being unemotional and logical? Cool! Klingons? Ahh.... not so much.

The guys who wanted to rock that boat and make a dirty gritty 23rd century full of war and a more Military "Federation of Planets" I think ruined it. Plus those STUPID uniforms and Phasers that don't seem to be able to hit anything

What happened to "Stun" and the ability to melt huge holes in anything? Having these super weapons made the show HAVE to think of more peaceful ways to deal with things other then the so BORING and typical shoot out (Ala the dumb westerns)

Peace and Long Life.

Across from his apartment was a small unit with a basement. In the basement Ted Sturgeon worked on his stories. Ted and I talked a lot but, unfortunately for me, I wasn't into reading Science Fiction then :(

Wow! You knew some of the greats!

You have to remember that before he started Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry was writing scripts for fifties westerns, particularly "Have Gun Will Travel"

If you have seen any of the old Paladin westerns, you can see that in many ways the original Star Trek was simply Paladin in space.

Lost Continent 1951 was one of my favorite movies to watch when I was young. Starring Ceasar Romero, it's about a group of scientists traveling to a remote island to retrieve the payload from a rocket which lasted atop a mountain. The dinosaurs around the rocket are nicely done :)
