Perhaps I need to go up to the lakes. I could get set up with a little shack on the ice close to town where I'd get a wireless connection. Put a heated recliner and blanket inside, set up a wishing well with a fishing line or two and a bell. Put up my little wind generator on top, open up my notebook and get into blizzard (which I've never done before). When lunch time comes along, I'd gut a fish and along with some veggies I'd put them on the hot plate. yada yada yada.

The lighter storm passed through last night.
My neighbor had to get out his pump.
My two new four inch drains along with the previous four inch drain let me sleep securely. The extra two drains have higher mounted drains and I could tell by the mud marks on the patio that the water rose up as the first drain was overwhelmed with volume and the other two saved the day.
I wonder how things are in Lake San Bernardino? Mac the Wolf?
It has been a welcome series of sod soakers and gully washers.
My garden is showing onion, garlic, corn, pea, and potato sprouts.
The cherry tomato is going like mid summer.
When it clears I will look off to the distant mountains and see where
our local blizzard occured. Some choose to live there. Beats me. To do
anything they have to drive off the mountain to the smog pit.
Moi
River, trying to send you a good one.

Rains a coming Tuesday and again Friday, they say.
A nice pattern of refreshingly clear air, Spring blooming,
and another rain. I love it. My drains are working and I
can sleep soundly.
I guess the blessings to Southern Califo-nia become the
record snow storms along the middle of not Califo-nia.
The rivers of mud in Flintridge was homes whose back yards were,
the foot hills. Ooops. What is more interesting is like what happened
in Laguna Beach some years back when some weeks after the last rain,
the hills just slide. Like it soaked down enough to make the whole top
and foundations of homes loose their footing. Stay tuned.
Probably going to be a dyn-o-mite wild flower season but that is
Mac the Wolf's neighborhood. Come in Mac the Wolf

In my area of Colorado, three major roofs have collapsed so far and then one house I know of got wiped out by an avalanche. These were roofs that had all been built up to current load bearing code standards.

Problem?
I love the rain and glad I could finally send you some precip., River.
The "news smoke screen" is about current mud slides and safety.
I was just reminding folk of those homes in Laguna Beach some years back
that slide down a hill a few weeks after the rains stopped.
I do not believe they are even currently considering that in safety considerations.
Hows your snow River? White and water heavy, powdery, ?

Wet mushy nasty cold beautiful, I love it, my son hates it, my cat is pissed off at it and the dog thinks its neat, plays in it tell she is so cold then comes in. Stupid dog,
Having been born and raised in Southern California, I really love the 4 seasons we have here in Wisconsin,
2 weeks or so of spring,
3 months of summer,
2 or so weeks of fall
and 6 months of winter
Which is better then Minnesota where Kristoff lives, about 20 miles from me,
Minnesota only has two seasons, winter and road construction.

the mosquito season.

State vulture is more like it. I've lost more dogs to them. Carried off, sucked dry...
