Most seem to start out with 50mg 2x a day. That seems to work out OK. But 25mg is a safe place as well.

You're being extremely conservative if you only want to start at 25 mg a day. If you do buy a full package of Androcur or Siterone, spend some time and read the package insert about dosage and side effects to become familiar with it. I'm guessing from memory that they usually start with a much higher dose, like 100-150 a day and then decrease that if the results are as needed. But those instructions should be considered more heavily than you may find here.

It won't hurt to work up from a low initial starting point but will cost you more in drugs and time to get you to a reasonably castrated situation. Read the insert instructions and use your own common sense and above all, be patient
