Just tell him you didn't feel comfortable with that much testosterone in your system. My urologist has been accomodating (grudgingly, I think) to let me experiment and find the level of sex hormone that best suits me. I was on monthly shots of Depo Provera before getting into the alcohol injections. My T level then was 97 and suited me quite well. After doing the injections and castration, it went down to 44 and had the mildest of osteopina. He suggested that I start with either estrogen or testosterone. I felt the T would fit my situation best. We used gel so it was easily controlled. He originally wanted me up at least to 350 but I said I'd probably be happy much lower. We played with different dosages at 3 or 4 week intervals to experiment. The highest test was almost 750 so I showed I knew what that was like. When he knew I was serious and pleased with being low but slightly above castrate level he gave his blessing. My last test was 122 and I've tweaked my dose slightly lower since then.

Be assertive, you've gone this far to do what you felt was right for you- now have the balls to stay there.

Being a TG I have a bit of an advantage there. My doctor (PS, I'm seen through the women's health clinic!) is helping me with my transition to womanhood.

She knows I hate the little buggers and all the T that goes with them. Should they shrink and my T levels drop, she wont try to tell me to take T shots. I could refuse if she did because I'm a woman and taking them would cause mental trauma. It would be tanatmount to them 'forcing' me to be a man. They'd be inhibiting my transition at that point.

Then she'll want to give them time to return on their own, but in the end I think she'll recommend having them removed. While they're at it, I'm going to see if they can grab the prostate to eliminate the risk of cancer there.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've done 4 injections now as of last week. I've been doing them in intervals of about 7-12 days. I use a 30g or 31g 1-inch needle with 80% Smirnoff vodka. I inject 1mL in the right testicle only. Here in Japan I can't find Everclear, though I really can't say that I've looked all that hard.

The few places I looked didn't carry it. These next couple injections I'll more than likely use 100% since I won't be able to inject for a while. Talking about discomfort, after about injection 3 the initial poke didn't bother me and advancing the needle wasn't as uncomfortable. Those who have done this can confirm the discomfort felt in the groin and/or lower abdominal area when advancing the needle. If I inject slowly at a rate of about .2-.3mL every 15-30 secs, I typically feel no to minor discomfort.

If I inject any faster or inject larger quantities in a short period of time then I get the groin/lower ab discomfort and that makes me have to stop what I'm doing, breathe, usually yell something, and return to normal once the feeling has passed. Recovery time is in hours. I can perform an injection and be perfectly fine 2-4 hrs later. I don't really experience much swelling, if any at all. I don't feel my right testicle has shrunken any since I've started. As far as size goes it seems to be on par with the left testicle which hasn't been receiving any injections.

I'm thinking for future injections I won't advance the needle all the way in, maybe half way and I'll administer the 1mL in different places. I'm also using the Phoenix project products including the Androease and Calm companion duo. So life is good right now. I'm seeing some minor changes in my body, mind, and sex drive so I'm happy. Wish I was seeing more, but as we all know these things take time . Can't wait to do my next injection tonight.

Just an odd observation, has anybody else noticed their testicles taking on odd shapes? It seems as though my left one is taking on kinda a wierd kinda tallish but slender shape as it gets firmer. Also, given that my last injection only net a .3cc injection and a near instant recovery I went ahead and poked it today but did so at an angle to keep the needle aimed more towards the center of the testicle and managed to inject .4 cc taking it slower than usual before the "full" feeling set in. Kinda odd by it's absence, the light dull ache that usually follows the injection didn't occur this time around. I guess I can take that as a sign that the testicle is shutting down. Also, some people talk about a warmth following an injection, to date I've only felt that once, and it was during my last injection of the right testicle, but I guess it goes back to the whole "YMMV". Anywho, one thing that hasn't changed since I started doing injections, I always treat myself to something nice after, that said, time to go grab a quick bite to eat and then settle in with some chocolate!

If your in the US this will not happen. There is no (sane) doctor that would take the legal risk of removing a prostate without there being an un-curable (through other procedure) form of cancer. Prostatectomy can cause irreversible damage to nerves that operate the penis (not that you care) and bladder (this is the real issue). Most prostatectomies are done with a "nerve" sparing procedure, which means they try to spare the nerves.

The good news is that without testosterone the prostate will shrink over time and have much less of a chance of becoming cancerous.

without me complaining of any symptoms, he sent me for an ultrasound and then a referral to a urologist. The uro looked at the results and did another ultrasound and a testosterone test. That led to a surgical biopsy where a piece of the testicle is cut out to be examined. The diagnosis was "atrophied and infarcted". Infarcted is like raynestorm said dead in function but not dead and rotting like most of us would think. He wanted to wait for 3 months and see if there would be any improvement as measured by my testosterone level before he would possibly remove them. Of course, I made certain that my next testosterone test was lower by continuing injections with Everclear. The test then was even lower- not surprising to me but I think it was to him so he gave us the option to have them removed without saying they absolutely had to come out. It took another 3 weeks to arrange our schedules for the surgery so they were there for at least 4 months in an infarcted state already with no problems other than they didn't work. It was obvious when he removed them that they weren't ordinary, healthy testicles but were a much darker red color, not a healthy blueish-pink.

Based on my experience, you can probably live with them or have them removed as circumstances work out for you. I'm not sure if you would be better off pointing your atrophied balls out to your ordinary doctor and complaining of low T symptoms or hoping that he will stumble on them during a physical. I like to think that my path worked out well because I didn't seem anxious to point them out or immediately push to have them removed but maybe the same would have played out if I had expressed an immediate interest in having them removed. I felt that if I had immediately suggested they be removed, they may have been more suspicious of how they got that way. Of course both doctors did briefly ask if I had had any trauma but didn't get out the thumbscrews to question me and certainly, I didn't volunteer that I had killed them off with vodka injections.

What you do now is up to you and a doctor. You can live with them being non-functional or with them removed. Obviously having them removed is nice but your life will be much the same with the useless things just hanging around. If you lik
