Yep its getting to me, the heat, the humidity and mostly the pollen. Its bad enough with the cataracts but add the puffy eyes. You know each season brings joy and hardship, I love them all but pollen season is the worst.
First two tomato's are getting red, about 4 or 5 more days if they last that long.

Aw curses (really foul and despicable ones.
A month ago, the cable company replaced my old, old, old cable with a brand new cable and my internet and TV stood up and did a military toe-tap with sparklers (a jig for those simpler folk) curse, curse, curse...
HOWEVER, they left the new line on the ground without burying it and my lawn is now a small field and forest because it hasn't been mowed.
So (more curses) they came at 9am and disturbed my beauty sleep to stick the cable underground
and I called my lawn guy and he said "I'll be there because it's been a month)
SO IT F

KING RAINS TODAY!
some days, the rats do gnaw at my buttocks
So I bitched about and it didn't stop the rain from falling (gee whizzies, gosh gollies)
I turned off hte news today because it is all about the unfortunate shooting in Colorado. (People are speculating and that's not worth listening)
IT'S STILL RAINING.
Why do I say any of this? Why do we care?
Well the TV NEW broke into my beloved JUDGE JUDY program to interrupt it with FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS!!
And in the middle of that FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS!!
The Emergency Action System EAS breaks into everything and announces a FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS!!
in the middle of the FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS!!
Twice they did this ...
Oh putz...

We're enjoying the 80's while it lasts here.
Next week, the heat is back on again, with no hope of rain.
I've read forecasts that this could last into August, and one that said October.
I did have a dream about a white tornado last night, though?
The poplar trees are shedding leaves now, and cracks about 6" deep are forming in the ground all over.
Farmers are mowing corn, and it has to be tested for nitrates before it can be used as feed. I guess the plants didn't mature enough to process the fertilizers and pesticides, and could be toxic.
Sunday, I'll be going through the garden and container garden and culling anything that hasn't set a fruit yet, too.

Every day the Federal at the weather service forecast
my weather with a high around 78-79F.
But, does it stop getting hotter? Ohhhhh NNnoooooo! <John Belushi voice>
It continues up another 5 degrees and with the choking humidity, feels moreso.
If not Privatized, I hope the State of California sets up a real Weather service.
Very de-motivating weather. Other then watering, I don't do enough gardening to get my second crop planted. Sweet Corn and sugar Pumpkins, not for Jack O'Lanterns but eating.
Big Yawn, but can't siesta.
And energy drinks don't work.

If possible, please share images of your pastoral life and link us to them.
What major intersection or address might we Google map.
Intersection of Jamboree Rd and Eastbluff Blvd. 92660 See the big Back Bay near me.
It is a nature preserve. That's where the coyote hangs before the nite. The bobcat too.
Occasionally the cougar is sighted. (We speak of them as a singular animal, each)
For more insight, try Arbutus St. and Alta Vista 92660
Thank You

Where I live I have seen cougar, fox, wild turkey and deer, lots of deer, in my yard I have bird feeders and seen any number of birds, grey and red squirrels and even a chipmunk who was munching on my Strawberry's. I brought them in the house.
I also live in the country.
