I think that the thing that many right wingers see wrong with Hillary is that she is an assertive woman. She see what she wants and she usually gets it.
This is frightening to them because thay cannot deal with such women because they feel threatened.
Of course, I could be wrong about that, but one thing is for sure.
Hillary had more of a hand in running the Clinton administration than most people realize. I beleive the Clintons' relationship is built on politics and business. The excitment of the sex infatuates them both. Eithe could possibly stray, but they always return because neither can find the equal of the other either in bed or intellectually.
That is why the Clintons' marriage works and that is why they are still with one another.
Hillary may very well be the first woman President. I would not be afraid to vote for her as long as she is not running against George W. Bush. GW is turning out to be a fine man and a good president. Al Gore would have probably been a good President also, but that didn't happen and I believe that now it never will.
Hillary may very well become the next President. Bill Clinton is shrewd, but I believe that Hillary is a genius. Our country would be in capable hands with her at the helm.

couldn't agree more about this homeland security stuff. when the democrats from the texas legislature refused to show up to vote on a bill to give the republicans a near complete monopoly of texas congressional districts, what happened? tome delay (scariest man in congress) sent the homeland security officer to find and drag back the missing legislators.
i'm thinking green party next time.

I choice "self" because when I was 60, I finally managed to cut my scrotum open. I just wanted to see what my testicles looked like. What I found was they were attached to my scrotum with a thin membrane. By this time I was caught up in my desire to go further, so I carefully cut my right testicle free. I enjoyed playing with my raw testicle, then took the next eneviable step. After tying my cord off, I cut my right testicle off. I stopped short from removing my left testicle and I am sorry now.

While I have long since accepted the fact that liberal bias is the norm on this site, some of the recent posts have finally stirred me to respond in order to set forth a few hard facts, as follows:
Bill and Hillary Clinton are conniving weasels. Bill is hoping to alter the Constitution so the he may take advantage of the weakened morality of a large number of voters to the extent that he may run for The Office of President of The United States yet again.
Hillary, when questioned about the veracity of statements made in her book, stated unequivocally that she remembers all or most details with absolute clarity. THIS, from a woman whom, when questioned re: Whitewater, repeatedly claimed virtual amnesia.
Don't like The Office of Homeland Security, or any other agency involved in attempting to protect The United States and it's citizenry from attacks made by rabid dogs adhering to a corrupted theology?
Well, how much "personal privacy" and security do those under the domination of radical fundamentalists enjoy? Should these sub-human creatures succeed in their avowed mission, you too will be enslaved.
Imagine your mom, wife, favorite female cutter, or daughter in a burkha (or you crossdressers, for that matter). Picture them not having any rights whatsoever.
Your rights? Well, how long do you think The Eunuch Archive will survive under that type of tyranny.
Oh, and there'll be no more free-speech radio,TV, movies, fast food, "liberal" education, or a host of other things you all take for granted.
Wake up and smell the camel crap!
I'm now married to a man who will lay his life on the line, if need be, (and who has already done so. Do you remember Desert Storm?) in order to protect ALL free people, grateful or otherwise, deserving or no. He answered this highest of callings when he could, instead, spend his life enjoying his inherited wealth.
Islam has been hijacked by sick-minded criminals. If some inconveniences must occur to the rest of us in order to destroy them in detail, then so be it.
The foregoing isn't a "flame", it's fact!
Angrily,
WifeofBigGuy (AKA Wife of Lt.Col "BigGuy", Armor, US Army) and damned proud of it!
PeeEss: My thanks to all who have offered their kind congratulations on the occasion of our wedding. (Whew! I was afraid he'd get away!LOL)
See you in Surgery!

I am a bleeding-heart liberal democrat and damn proud of it. I even admit to voting for Bill Clinton twice. If Hillary runs in the future, I'll vote for her too. I enjoyed the years under the Clintons.
When Clinton left office, there were $billions in surplus. After two years of "W" we now have $trillions in deficit. Gee thanks George.
Now, Bill and Hillary may be conniving weasels, but "W" is, in my opinion, a war criminal. He began this illegal war in Iraq. I blame him personally for the 100 brave Americans killed there.
Yes, Iraq had weapons of mass destructions. SO WHAT. (1) He acquired most of those weapons from the United States when it was in our best interests to give them to him. (2) We and most nations have weapons of mass destruction - should we be invaded to. (3) The U.S. used chemical weapons by the megatonnage over Vietnam.
If Saddam was such as threat to the world, why did WE put him in office.
Personally, I think we stick our nose too much in the Middle East.
Homeland Security: it hasn't affected me personally. However, if H.S. men come to search my house without a warrant, they will only get inside over my cold dead corpse.
I like WOBG and BG very much. I hate their politics.

Ok, Having been a life long republican and a big supporter of the party tell about 10 yrs ago when I realized that the republican party no longer had my interests in mind, my interests include the middle class down which is about 80 % of the population. It is true that the Clintons are slim balls, but history will judge Bill favorably as one of our greater presidents. What most republicans cant get past his being a woman chaser. The republican party and there policies and the new laws that are being passed violate my conational rights. I did not serve in the Gulf War, mine was Viet Nam. MTBG I resent the fact that you think your new husband is the only one that has served this country, if you doubt my generation and what we are about take a trip to DC and look at the names on the Wall, I know one of them personally. I stood at attention at his funeral through the playing of taps and the 18 gun salute. All politics aside donÂ’t ever think that only republicans join the service and fight for there country. I am a student of history, and I have noticed every time on party takes it so extreme the other party will take it an equal distant the other way. Its like a pendulum it goes so far to the left and then the same distance to the right. A great example of this is what Pete Wilson did for California, he took it so far to the right that the state put in a democrat for Governor for only the third time in its 150+ years as a state and in the last election Regan country (California) went for Gore. The pendulum swings. For several years that pendulum has been just about center give a degree or two, however this president is taking it way to the right. I have never liked extremes one way or the other. Now lets see, Bush is a oil man, so far he has stated there is no global warming and opened up oil fields in Alaska. HS is a direct violation of the bill of rights. Now this guy has waged war agents a country whoÂ’s politics is not the same as ours but that is no reason for him to attack the middle east, now donÂ’t get me wrong I donÂ’t like the Muslims state, but I also agree that any country has the right to defend its self and just because we donÂ’t like there politics does not give us a right to attack them. That said, do not misunderstand me, I will always support our military, but I will never go with any president that starts a war for his own gain. Bush = Oil. What more do you need to know. As the republicans takes this country further to the right when the democrats get in office and they will take it an equal distance to the left. I donÂ’t like extremes one way or the other. The republican party that I have been proud to be a part of my entire life has abandon there charter and become something else. I guess if your rich you should be happy with this guy in office but the rest of us are out of work and some of us for a couple of years, I donÂ’t see this guy doing anything to help the middle class or the poor. Personal bankruptcy are at an all time high. The stock market has been in shambles, most of the people my age who are looking at retirement in 10 to 15 years have watched our 401KÂ’s loose money daily. So I guess the bottom line is this, I am out for me, only me, and I will vote for people and support people in office that will help me and none are republicans, and that is a shame, they only support big business and big government. Sigh, for the first time in my life I feel scared of the future, for my kids and my grandkids. I wonder what kind of world they will inherit?

I was not enamored with the "Patriot Act" The wording still smacks of Orwellian "Doublespeak" to me, but I tend to sit back and watch what people do.
Like it or no, we are in Iraq for the long haul.
200 soldiers have died, but soldiers do die in the service. They know that that is apt to happen when they enlist. We need to remember that in war we go where we have to and we do what we need to do. Still, there is no draft and I would venture to say that more people are likely to be killed in automobile accidents this 4th of July weekend that are going to be killed the rest of this year in Iraq. But, I could be wrong. Although, if I am it will not be by much.
If America leaves Iraq now you will have another irrational Islamic Theocracy like the others that seem to thrive in the sand pits of the middle east unless, of course, there is oil in them.
I judge people by their actions. So far, George W. Bush has acted to assure the safety of America and American interests in the Middle East. If you want a war criminal try to lay that one on SADDAM who killed his own people wholesale and had them buried in the desert in open pits. I will not post the web links again because I have already done that once and here we go again.
The left wing hyperbole chants VietNam, VietNam, Vietnam... it seems to be their mantra right now. It is a two-part harmony with almost every Al-Quada Terrorist who is still alive. So, if you want to sing in the choir with the bad boys, then be my guest.
Just don't complain when they start slitting throats after they screw you over.
This is not another Vietnam, it never has been and it never will be. There is no other force in the world to supply their side with munitions and weapons. They cannot fight without weapons and soon they will starve if they cannot get food.
So whatever you have to say just say it and don't dwell on it because it will just make all of us here crazier and we really do not need to be any crazier than we already are. There will be no consensus on this issue. Even after this is over there will still be people arguing about whether is should have been done or not.
If you wanna talk Vietnam then know this. It took 10 years to get out of Vietnam and Red China and Russia were supplying them with weapons. The first country who allies itself with Iraqi resistance remnant baath party members from Saddam's old government will be dead meat. They may be crazy but I do not believe that they are stupid. However, if they are suicidal then this would be a good excuse to take care of their problem.
Make no mistake, George W. will not mess with them. NOR SOULD HE!
So, will one of you please explain to me why I would want to put in a Democrat who will molly-coddle this cowardly scum while 69-ing with the United Nations who wins big power-wise if America is weakened.

Riverwind,
I assume you meant WOBG when you entered MTBG, so I ask:
What did I ever say to make you think I considered BG to be the only one to ever serve his country?
I've been to the Wall with my dad and held his hand as he teared up while reading some of the names thereon. He knew far too many of them personally, as I'm sure you and many others here do. He found names of guys he's played with as a kid, served at various posts with, and he offered some little remembrance or anecdote about each of them.We both held up pretty well until he found a name or two that he had NOT known was on the wall. I guess that finally overwhelmed him. His grief knew no distinction between officer and enlisted, race or creed. They were Americans and his comrades-in-arms and that was what mattered most.
One name that particularly affected me was that of a young man named Bob Kalsu. Bob was an All-American lineman at my Alma Mater, The University of Oklahoma, during the 60's. He was drafted by a professional football team but then, unexpectedly, he gave that up to serve his nation.
Bob was commissioned as a 2d Lt., Armor, US Army. Not long thereafter he reported to Viet Nam, leaving a young and expectant bride behind. As Hollywood might have scripted it, Bob was killed in action and never even saw his child. His sacrifice and legacy loom large at OU and in BG and WOBG's hearts. BG's choice of branch, Armor, and his decision to remain on active service, rather than simply enjoy "La Dolce Vita", was inspired by Bob Kalsu's example and sacrifice.
I'm abundantly aware that BG is only a small cog in the machine that defends our way of life. I mentioned him and his service solely as an example of the type of human being that honors the tenet of "Pro Deo et Patria" above all else.
I'm regret that you misunderstood me, "Tio Rio", but be assured that my respect and affection for you remains undiminished.
Warmly,
WOBG (The Artist formerly known as FOBG)
