Quite honestly, this isn't news. It's been essentially inevitable for a few weeks now, thanks to the idiocy of all (political) parties involved.

Yup, fourth election in seven years, and in the end it's not gonna change a damn thing. All polls currently show that essentially the same proportions will get re-elected, meaning yet another minority government, with the Conservatives at least nominally in the lead. The same GD outcome as the last three elections. Pisses me right the hell off. Quite honestly I'd like to take all those involved (Harper, Ignatieff, and Layton) and beat them soundly until they wake up and realize that shit like this isn't going to change the situation. Mainly Harper and Ignatieff though. Harper for being a complete asshat who thinks he has the right to do whatever the hell he feels like while leading a minority government, and Ignatieff on general principles for forcing this useless election simply because his ego tells him he's got a hope in hell of becoming PM.

Another goddamn hundred million spent because of ego, to no noticeable result. Yeah, that'll help our budget.

Moi, in case you did not know this, this is semi normal for other countries, which can be a good thing, you see if you get a bad government you can get rid of them quickly, here you must wait 4 years and then there is no telling what you will be left with.

Plus a word of caution, careful about criticizing other countries as sometimes it seams you don't even understand what goes on in this one.
