Well the test works on me as well. But it could just be an age thing as well.
Happy Trails,

It's probabaly most accurately described as a random human thing
My poll was left running and as of this post, it has 130 male respondants, with 20 reporting their arms are parallel, while 110 reporting their arms tapering. This test seems to work for 84.62% of cisgendered males, which really discounts its validity as a test for transsexualism.

Indeed
So... who would like to break it to heartcorps.com that they're wrong? And face the inevitable backlash from insecure women who've been basing their identity on silly superficial things for years that turned out to be wrong? :-\

Hi everyone,
Coming to the party late, but after reading Hairless' first post I immediately thought of a sure-fire way to resolve the puzzle. Part of our problem in conducting this survey is subjective judgement, i.e., how straight is 'straight'? If we have pictures for reference, then we have something to judge by.
The link below shows male and female models with their arms down and palms forward, just like we wanted for the sake of the survey. Comparing the two, the female model's arms angle outward at the elbow whereas the man's are straight at the elbow. However, the difference isn't all that great. Judge for yourself.
WARNING to more sensitive viewers: The models at the link aren't wearing any clothes.

Thanks for a provocative discussion,
Terri
P.S. -- Just couldn't resist! The image of "him" was etched in my mind from childhood.

Interestingly, none of them had parallel arms from the elbow down, as was claimed in heartcorps.com as being THE physical indicator of being a cisgendered male.

I have always hated sports and, on the rare occasions that I remember having to play cricket during my schooldays, I was shouted at, by the housemaster and other members of the team, for throwing the ball underarm. The overarm technique seemed to be too violent and aggressive, and felt like nothing that I would ever want to do, unlike my own favourite way, which felt more natural. It seems, however, that this method was not the correct one and, according to the loud comments that I received as a result, I quickly learned that I was a girl rather than a boy.
It always amazed me that these people considered sexual reassignment to be so easy.

I remember a friend I had when I was 18 used to come up with all these odd reasons why I was supposedly gay, things his father told him. 'The direction you insert your belt into the loops means you're gay.' 'The way you cross your legs.' lol.. he had MANY more, all really silly. I was terribly in love with him, so he may have had a point in some way, but still!
What nonsense!
Also reminds me of something I read on the AboveTopSecret forums yesterday (
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread468933/pg1):
"Many of you people are not actually humans. You may have human bodies and human blood, but you are not humans. You are extra terrestrial beings.
1) You always had a feeling that you don't belong here on this planet.
2) You've always felt being very different from humans.
3) You have a strong longing to "go home", although you don't know where home is (but its' not on this planet).
4) You often tend to watch humans and think "Why are they making things so complicated? It's really not that complicated."
5) You have a strong sense of purpose - that you are on this planet for a reason.
6) You may posses supernatural abilities: telepathy, clairvoyance, clairsentience, super empathy, etc. "
If you've always felt different or out of place during your life, and happen to be delusional to some degree, you are an alien! :O
I feel so special and validated.
